The best Treasure of all is getting out into the world and exploring most people never get to do that in their lives most people will go to work and work the rest of there lives or go too prison at a young age or die or not even leave their neighborhood for the rest of their lives because their stricken with disease or some kind of disability be thankful we have the ability to get up and walk and go to places that other people can't do. We take this for granted. Good luck to you sir.

Hello Lex! thank you for sharing your thoughts, I agree that the first reward is to be able to do it. I know that many people can't do what I do, so I decided to have my RUclips channel, to share my experiences! I wish you all the best! Goldendives

Interesting piece of pottery there. Perhaps Roman? I hope you took it to a museum to have them preserve it. It is a part if history

I found a ring earlier this year with the same closing system but in silver. It was with coins dating back to 1800 so it could be that old but I have no idea; if you can date your gold ring I would be interested to hear. Thanks

That ring is super old . 1760s is my guess . Right design for the time period . And no gold joint joining the ends.

Goldendives...The only thing that stuck with me while viewing your video was, how insensitive it was of you not to put the broken pottery vase back the way you found it so the crab could regain his home. It would have only taken you a second to replace it as you found it, but you just throw it down with the bottom side up so it couldn't be used by the crab any more. Let's keep in mind that "you are trespassing in his home" so try to show some respect for the aquatics that you disrupt during your detecting.
What did that poor little crab do to deserve to lose his home? You even called him a "damn crab" like he was inconveniencing you by being there, in the ocean where "he belongs". Get serious dude. I hope he was thinking "damn man" when you flushed him out of his pot.
I was watching another guy earlier detecting in the woods. When he came across earthworms and beetles he gently lifted them away from the spot of interest instead of just marauding through their homes...It was quite touching actually and I had a LOT of RESPECT and admiration for him for doing so. It wouldn't hurt you to take notes and behave accordingly.

Judith Hayes dear Judith, there is a big difference between someone who is holding his breath on the bottom of the sea, and someone who digs and breaths. Every thing happens fast underwater, and most of the creatures of the sea are perfectly able to defend themselves with poison, sharp claws and more.. so you can imagine that is not pleasant to see a crab jumping out of the seabed, in your direction, when you don't expect it , that's his way of fighting off predators. If you find a worm, of course is not scary and you can keep cool. But if it was you seeing a crab jumping suddenly towards you, i wonder what you would have done. Probably you never dove , and you have no idea about the capabilities of self defense and even attack of the sea creatures. So don't be sad about that crab, he successfully showed me his potential aggression and scared me, that is what he does to survive. About his home, he probably went back there 5 minutes after i left. Dear Judith, you should go diving a bit before judging me :) happy treasure hunting!
