I saw Cissie speak at PCRT conference in 2005. He was unclear then and his thinking lacks clarity now. He certainly does not speak for me then anD he dies not speak for me now. I am unaffected by him. At least he speaks with a little more clarity then when he was attempting to dispute N.T. Wright's book on justification. He is much clearer then Eric Mason. Though they both want to avoid being partisan, they are. Just because he says he doesn't support either party. Speaking of Utopianism, have you read Woke Church yet. His inability to distance himself from: the Black Panther movement and Pan-Africanism is a tacit approval of the non Gospel message of both of those political movements.
Pastors MUST get involved in politics since the politicians are butting into church belief systems and us to change it ....! Preach it pastors....lead us to stand up to politician bullies...
Amen! The culture, the secular world, POLITICS--is taking what belongs in the church and trying to destroy them (marriage, gender, etc.). So it's only right and logical that the Church--Christians and PASTORS--be "political" to push back against the world. To refuse to be "political" is to surrender the Church and forget about being able to preach the gospel.
Keith Thompson If God calls you to preach Don't stoop to be a King. . .No Voddie we Don't have to play identity politics. A white Pastor, professor or President of a College as some in your audience are, can say the truth because it's God's truth. Not because they are Black.
@@johntobey1558 I didn't sense identity politics at all. What I did hear was a realistic perspective. A white Pastor, professor, etc. can make a statement. Voddie simply said, pragmatically speaking, that a black voice on certain issues is going to get a better hearing. It will carry more weight with certain people. Truth is truth. No doubt. Yet, there is something to be said for wisdom, also.
We are a Democratic Republic and our form of Government is A Constitutional Representative Democracy. Recently downgraded in 2016 to being a "Flawed Democracy."
No......!! If pastor told you not to sleep around ...people disobey as long as their lust last! So why do you think people always do what pastors tell them to do!????
Thank you for correcting the"democracy" comment Dr. Voddie.
We need more Pastors with the backbone of Voddie Baucham to unapologetically present God's Word (2 Chron 7:14)

'salvation is not going to come from your candidate being elected'! ( 4:39)( great line for the people who believe this)
“I didn’t come to take sides. I came to take over.” I like it.

“I want to be accepted by the world, therefor bla bla a kick and a punt, I won’t address major ethical and moral issues”
“We’re... we’re in a republic.” 😅😅😂

Yes... A democratic republic. A form of democracy. Read all the historical texts
It's only political if you make it political
political, not partisan!!! man that's what I've been trying to say. Hardline to navigate though
Unfortunately, in many churches the pastor is telling the people who to vote for, and they blindly follow

I doubt any democrats actually attend CHBC
