- Hey guys, how are you today? In today's zurich vlog, we're visiting the violin luthier and enjoy a day running errands in my hometown zurich. I've also been into sewing some clothes and since Autumn is just around the corner - a cup of coffee amongst grape vines sounds like the perfect start to this day!

Yep, that frog still have a better life than me..

It is a beautiful home. I believe it was designed by the renowned Swiss architect, Andre M. Studer.

Hi Sumina!!! I love your channels so much and I truly appreciate the time you put into bringing positive energy to us! I learned violin when I was a kid and I picked up again because of you🤗🤗🤗 and I love your food recommendations tooo
No way, that is so cool! Good luck on your continuous violin journey, it makes me so happy to be a little part of it. Thank you for watching today's video as well 🤗
2:56 Niccolo Paganini's Caprice 24. Are you going to hula-hoop while playing now?
Next time you can try Paganiniana
i smell some twoset gang here
@@JacquesLuu :)))))
halp 🥴
Sumina Studer 🥺🥺omg thank you for noticing me
@@SuminaStuder1 Twoset gang indeed! :D On the bright side, their vids led me to discover an amazing violinist who taught me a lot in just a few videos. If you know her, please forward my thanks ;)
Zürich is so pretty, all gemütlich and urban at the same time. Loved it when I visited 💗
Zurich seems to be a very beautiful city. It's been fun doing a little running around with you, especially since it is violin related. 😃
Thank you, Sumina Studer, for sharing your violin talent and your life experiences! Your time and talent are greatly appreciated!
I really like the way you share your practice sections with us. I always see people say "you have to do conscious practice", or a mindfulness pratice, I think this is the correct term, but I confess that I don't know how to do it. Perhaps because I don't have much experience in "what should I be looking at". So, I think your videos are amazing, because you always share what you're thinking or doing in that part, and giving ideas on how to improve. And so I started thinking about how I could improve certain parts of my study, based on your insights. :D
Thank you for showing us around your hometown!
Thank you, Sumina. I enjoy watching your videos. Your violin playing inspired my kid a lot. Thank you. PS you look great in this video. Nice dress and jeans. 😚
it is sooo relaxing!!! I want a garden!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love how your tapping the coffe down the mug in time with the music youtube magic right there
i love your vlogs, sumina! You've inspired me so much through my violin years and I'm planning on going to Conservatory next year!!
Best wishes then I am trying too to become good enough for music uni in 4 years
@@chi73 ahhh good luck! you got this!
Thank you
@@naomishapiro5610 thank you for encouraging me, I am still a "average" good violinist but I work hard and get inspired by Sumina and Twosetviolin but I doubt myself a lot, think I am not good at all, will never make it that far ... and rarely give me credit for my hours of practise... can someone help me there ?
@@chi73 aw ya, I feel like all of us musicians can relate to that. I know I def can. just never give up!
That was a cool video. Would you ever consider visiting your favorite luthier and interviewing them? Tips on repairs? Ask them the hardest repair, or the toughest job they ever had. How did you become a luthier? Etc. I find the making of violins fascinating. Hopefully, I am not the only one. Keep up the good work. Your channel is cool!
that would be a super cool video!
@@AnnaKhomichkoPianist she should also interview people like you to talk about your instrument's challenges. She has a lot of charisma, and I'm always interested in listening to professional musicians.
Lovely video.
I've just started learning German in school and I'm so excited.
Thanks 😊
Good luck! 🤞🏼
Thanks so much. I love listening to you speak German and trying to pick odd words out that i know. 🥰👍
Looking forward to following your videos in 2021.
Omg I have school next to the MusiK Hug and when I saw the video I would have loved to run up there and see Sumina (I know she'll already be gone 😜 but I don't care)
I'd love to see her and talk to her 🥰love you Sumina
Grüssli us Züri
Aww! Well maybe next time we'll bump into each other - Zurich is such a small town 😄 Thank you for watching and grüessli zrugg 🥰
I'm obsessed with your vlogs
YAAASSSS *SHIFTINGGG* , the thing that I'm struggling with
Your video is super relaxing and exciting, very nice shots and music, I already missed watching a blog of my favorite violinist :3 good vibes for you. ✌✌💕
Suggestion for sweeter coffee without syrup: if possible, use a coarser grind of coffee for a Moka pot (coarser than espresso). Less extraction of bitter oils. If not possible, put 70 degree celsius water in the bottom part, then put in the coffee and boil. That will be less time for the coffee to overheat and become bitter.
Loved Zurich and Switzerland. Lived there but didn't find that violin shop....God bless. John. SDA.
Sumina. Glad that you're safe and sound. Do be careful. It might be a while before the covid is under control. I usually do Netflix and napping😇
I envy your garden! I love your top, too. :) Thank you for sharing these videos, Sumina. It's nice to see glimpses of your everyday life. :)
Ohhh your music shop is AMAZING !!! and Zurich is amazing. Ohhhh those pastries ....... Heavenly !!! I work at a small music shop here in the states. Its nothing like your music shop.
Damn it's great to see someone so organised 🔥
And you are a great musician too which adds up to your beauty!

Beautiful as always!❤️
I just moved to college and I was inspired by you to adopt some plant babies😂🌿
Watching stuff while sewing is definitely not weird, I do it all the time! Except I watch documentaries or RUclipsrs who do historical sewing.. that may be weird 😅
your house is amazing
Just happened to stumble across your channel and it's lovely to hear some Schwiizerdütsch and see the MusicHug that I used to go to! ☀️LG
Atomic Habits...?
Hold my Tea ☕...! I'm reading that too...👍🏼 😄 🇬🇧
I'm a beginner and you are one of my inspiration. I love all your works 💖
Hi Sumina! Someone mentioned in the comments in the past vlogs, that the violin you have on loan is a Stradivarius. Is that true? If so, could you vlog more about it please? I’m sure many people like me would be very interested in hearing about it!
Thank you so much for sharing!! Wonderful video!!
This is the 2nd time to watch your video, you are so cute and I am very happy to find you from RUclips caos.
After taking back my piano lessons I wish to do the same about violin, I really got the passion to practice those instruments for thousands of hours
Hoping to show something concrete one day great video keep going
Shows I watch on Netflix: Modern Family and Brooklin 99 (among others).

As always, fun to watch! I borrow my mom’s sewing machine to adjust clothes too😆. I’m not very good at it, but I do my best lol!

In Zurich they speak French, you also talk French Sumina; you are very talented. Do you have own CD? Zurich maybe beautiful city. Good luck.
everyone is doing paganiniana lately and i'm so here for it
i understood when she said 'mit' at 7:12 cuz of mit ausdruck in music scores lol
Atomic Habits is a fantastic book! Hope you enjoy!
That bakery at the Hottingerplatz...I used to buy egg sandwiches there when I lived around the corner.
I've always wanted to go to Zurich. I've heard about how beautiful the weather mostly is and how Zurich actually looks. When you have a day off, where do you usually go to for a day out with yourself or freinds? I actually wanna know because if I ever do have any time in the future to travel I would love love LOVE to go to Switzerland.
Wowza those octaves in the Caprice 🤯👏
Thanks 🥴🥴🥴
Sumina, love your merch. Just bought a Guarneri tee shirt. Any chance of mugs in the future?
paganini no.24 its a legend
Hi Sumina, the song that you practice was Paganini Caprice no: 24
I returned from the US to Germany just recently, started practicing violin a lot during my quarantine (thats when I discovered your channel) and visited Zürich the first time in my life on that very rainy weekend when you returned from New York! So a lot of things in your vlogs feel relatable although I am living a completely different life. :D So funny!
I like the vlogs, I think they are great when you show relaxed days like this. Zürich is lovely btw, I hope I can do my PhD there. :)
I tried playing it at × 1.5, adorable even more , lol
Your videos are very educational :)
Are you going to be in London anytime soon?
Greetings from India🇮🇳. Merry Christmas to you Sumina and your family and your followers

How did you learn english so well?
Heyy, I got a question, what microphone do you use for recording your violin playing?
A collab with twoset would be cool!!!!
Kannst du mal ein video auf deutsch machen? Ich verstehe zwar alles auf englisch, aber ich liebe es wenn andere deutsch sprechen und du sprichst sehr sehr sehr gut deutsch😘
