I just got a D plus in my secondary school finals and feel very disappointed in myself. This was strangely comforting. “Grades are not everything.” is something I've been told during this season of life but hearing from Lyanna has made me feel better somehow lol. 😂
“Grades are not everything” is especially true in uni, where grades are no longer that much within your control. It’s 40% assignment, 60% exam whereas in secondary school, your grades are 100% based on how well you studied for exams you’ve had plenty of exercises for. “Grades are not everything” is also true for secondary school, but not for the same reason. I was in science stream, worked hard all my life to get straight As PT3 and SPM because I really thought grades were everything. Turns out it’s really not all that 😂 There are tons other straight As like me lol, and my broke butt ended up going to a mediocre public uni where I meet evil, dumb people with 3As in SPM, they drag your grades down in group work, unless you go ahead and do their work for them. Ops went too far. But bottomline is: Just enjoy your secondary school life, don’t worry about exams because the only exam that matters is the real deal (SPM). Even if it’s only a month left till SPM, it’s not too late. Enjoy the time where life is fair and your grades are fully in your control 🎮
@@imthecoolest50 I'm in the Kenyan education system. So I'm now to move ahead to college or uni or do TVET. If I wanted I could have repeated highschool and done 2 years of school. That means I'd have graduated at the age of 24
I almost failed out of university once. Got married, transferred to a different school, & got a 4.0, added a SECOND major, graduated with honors from BOTH majors. I was MISERABLE & in mental health chaos at Brigham Young University. Life changes, we change, our outcomes change. You got this, friend. Keep your mind & options open. Makes sure you are doing what YOU want to be doing, are where YOU want to be, explore, follow your Heart, Intuition, Spirit. And, be gentle with you. 💗 You are smart. You are worthy . If you’re smart and have a 2.5 GPA just take the classes you think benefit you and don’t finish school. Start your own company and remember the A and the B students work for the C students. My majors were East Asian Studies and Theater & Film. I finished neither, because who gives a crap about prerequisites. I started my own company right afterwards it became a very successful company. Of course, it did go bust eventually, but that was out of my hands. I’ve mostly built myself back up again. So no need to cry, one just needs to focus their energies in the right places.
