Spot on review. I Love this board. I went with the 162 and Now Drive CX bindings. I can rail turns with my size 9.5’s. It’s good all over the mountain and slays pow.
I’m starting to get more and more interested in Cardiffs… I LOVE the aesthetics on this years. And then you learn the founder is an architect, and the art deco styling makes sense!
@@thegoodridesnow How do you feel about the wider split version. I saw on the split review you mentioned the extra width for powder. What about groomers, did you get the split out on some groomers?. I have a size 12 boot and with the taper in the tail, it is possibly getting a little narrow on the regular 162 solid.
I really want this board.. I'm torn between the 55 and the 58.. I have a 10.5 boot 160lbs, but hate wide boards! 258 is my happy spot for waist width.. 55 is a 256 waist, and the 58 is a 262 waist...ugh...
I’m wondering how the powgoda pro carbon rides…planning to buy both goat and powgoda and thinking of getting the pro version for only one of them. Maybe getting the goat pro and stay with powgoda enduro is a better choice than getting powgoda pro with goat enduro?
I don't know for certain but if it rides like the Pro-Carbon Split I own I'd want them both in Pro-Carbon. If you can only do one then maybe the Goat since it likes going straight more than the more turny Powgoda and would like that stiffer flex. Their Pro-Carbon is not like most "Pro/Ultra/Plus" boards out there. It's pretty damp and I think it has metal on the topsheet near the edges. It seems they only make a 162 Pro-Carbon for the Powgoda and Goat. do your specs work with those sizes?
@@thegoodridesnow I’m 6ft tall, 10.5-11us boots and currently weighing 250 lbs, I’m probably too heavy for the 162 but Im planning on losing some fat in the summer time and getting down to 200lbs. Do you think it’s gonna be the ideal size for my specs?
Yeah the 162 in the Powgoda will feel to soft at 150 but it's good for your boot size and a good fit for your height but that's not as important. The stiffer pro-carbon will do a little better with a heavier rider but 250 is still pretty heavy. The Enduro will feel too soft at 250 but If you get down to 200 both Enduro and Pro-Carbon will work so you can choose the one that calls to you more. I'd go 158 for the Goat if you want control if you get to 200lbs and 162 if you are heavier or 200lbs but want more of a bomber. If you are primarily riding the Powgoda for pow go 162 for Enduro and Pro-Carbon.
@@thegoodridesnow I truly appreciate your advice!! I think imma end up with both in pro version. Cutting weight is a must for me not just for snowboarding performance but also health benefits. Thanks again, I’ve been really enjoying your contents since I started the hobby.
Thanks! I think going with Pro-Carbon for both is a great call. Usually I suggest going the other way with other brands but their Pro-Carbon is different. You don't get that extra chatter that often comes with the upper tier model. Loosing weight will also make everything in life better.
I’ve riden an orca for the past few seasons - looking to shake things up, maybe get a bit better in the powder while maintaining the one board quiver functionality. Would you say this would be a good option to check out?
Like the Orca this is a great board but it is very different. If you want to try a new camber profile and a longer length ride this could for sure work. You get a little less grip but a faster base and a more stable feel underfoot.
Really apples to oranges here. The Powgoda is way more set back, softer, has less camber, more rocker, more taper, better edge hold, a faster base and a lot of other differences. It is a much more set back, semi-surfy, directional ride. The Flight Attendant is stiffer, has way more camber, carves way harder, has less float and barely feels tapered. If you like lots of pop, getting air and to carve super hard in good condition go Flight Attendant. If you want super easy float in pow and a more set back turny ride go Powgoda. Thanks for your take and the good words.
POWGODA!..Best Powder Board I have rode in 40 years. Wax was perfect. Size for me great! Cheers to a excellent design, a perfect ride.
Thanks for your take and glad you like it like I do.
I love this board. Rides like a dream
Glad to hear you like it as much as we do.

They make some amazing boards. I truly love my Powgoda and Powgoda Pro-Carbon Split.

Tha tail is narrow though so dont think of the waist like you do with a non tapered ride. How tall are you?
@The Good Ride 5'10 160 10.5 boot. My pow boards are mind expanders 154, and 58. Depending on terrain.
I’ve got basically the same specs as you - 160lb, 5’11” size 10 boot. Did you pick the 155 or 158? I’m torn as well…
I went with the 155! It's fantastic!!
Same core as the Telos boards
Different design, shape, sidecut, and overall ride. In fact every model from Cardiff rides and feels different than Every Telos model I tried.
