I would love to share them with you and get to speak with you about it sometime. Glad to see the car ended up in good hands and will always be cared for and cherished! Best to you and your family.

It’s a car, but it’s family, Folks who only think of the machine without it’s story miss the whole point. How many people can say they are driving their first car much less their dad’s car today and it’s future owner is enjoying her grandads gift he worked so hard for? A true car guy. Your stories are a representation of respect of car enthusiasts from the past. Money can buy a fast car, it can’t buy respect. Well Done..

awesome story. when my daughter was just old enough to talk we put her in my mach 1 mustang and my Wife my daughter and I all went out in the mach 1. well it started raining while we were in the coffee shop. me making the best of it decided that a burn out in the rain would be a good idea. so when we got out of the shop I said to my wife "see that stop sign at the end of the block I am going to spin the tires till there" once we got to the stop sign after that burn out. from the back seat comes a giggle and my daughter says "do it again"!

I loved your story. My Dad asked me if I wanted his car, a 1964 Chrysler New Yorker Wagon. I said “Yes”. I promised him before he passed away I would restore in honor of him and Mom. Mom loved driving the big wagon. It brought her happiness and joy. I have spent 7 years searching and finding sources to restore its glory. Its a show car and I drive it to as many car shows as I can to share and bring the same joy to others it brought my parents. Hearing their stories of their parents driving them in a station wagon like mine has made it all worthwhile.

Thank you for posting this video. I envy you. When I showed my dad my first hot rod Chevy he berated me for it running so rough. I had high compression with a hot cam and it idled at 1200 rpm. He liked smoother is better on his cars and couldn't comprehend why you would ever boil the tires. The concept of heating your tires for a better launch was lost on him.
    Different strokes for different folks.

dude that was awesome!! I did the same thing with my daughter. got her involved early and showed her how cool old cars are. I had to sell my 31 model a but I still have an old 76 k20 chevy camper special. she had the same look as your daughter when I would romp on it sometimes. she's a little older now and that " look" has turned to laughter. I tell her all the time its better to drive something old than something new. I have a samurai im building for her for school. and maybe after she graduates I can get to putting that LS motor in my short bed s10 ive been saving for when I get old. im only 61, but being disabled has really slowed my roll. but thank you for the video { and the others} it brought back some fond memories of my duster I had in high school, and those I create with my daughter! your time and effort are much appreciated.

Man, such a similar story. I'm in west Tn. My dad gave me a BB Chevelle when I was 16. I watched it transform from a small block bench seat car to a BB hotrod. My daughter who is now 5 grew up in it and went through the same "too loud" phase. We aren't rich folk either...so the car is truly a sentimental piece. With the energy my dad put in it all the way down to hand polishing the crank, he will always live and breath through this car.

Words can't describe this video. My pop has been gone for 10 years and we used to do stuff like this all the time. He street raced a 73 Ford Torino wagon.
Lime green, cop car hubcaps, absolutely base model car he stuffed a 460 into. I was 14 years old and when he took me out for rides, I thought the car was gonna suck the hood into the motor, it had the best induction sound ever.
Thanks for bringing back those memories.....

Tears shed ! I see a girl 10-11 years from now driving a 64 vet . I was 5 sitting on the center console of a 68 (in 72) 440 RT Cornet With chrome reverse dogs And dad banging gears when I got hooked on fast cars. Some people say cars are a waste of money . They just don't have the good memories . Everyone of my good friends loves cars and motorcycles. The stories are endless from getting stuck in mud or racing to loosing a few friends .But I don't regret any of it,better to slide in to you death bed scratched beaten bruised and lived than wishing you had taken a thrill /chance now and then vs: regretting you had not lived life to it's fullest! Good luck with your channel work as hard as your dad has and sky's the limit.

Right about the eighteen minute mark, that little girls eyes told me she could be one of the world best and fastest driving girls in the world. She has a connection to you and that car... washing it shinging it and making sure daddy will be happy. She was never scared or wanting out... kinda reminds me of and please don't get mad cause I'm serious as a heart attack... a song called "gitty up go daddy" by Red Sovine. He sang ballads when I was a young man who was raised in a town full of western country folk. I wouldn't trade that for any money in the world. It made me who I am. One of the greatest stories that I ever heard. Awsum. Been following you for sometime. Was a friend of Jim Barrilaro and he'd did engine work on my 1965vMustang fastback drag car, my then new 1969 Corvette with one of his wild paint jobs and a 1964 Jeep wild paint jobs. Went to the drags with him several times and got a scary wide once in his B/MP 57 Ford drag car and in his Windjammer wheelstander. New him when his speed shop was busy.
    Great memories.

I remember playing in it when I was a kid and hated the 1969. He sold the 1958 Corvette because the guy that bought it offered him Crazy Money for it. He didn’t want to sell it but Crazy Money will do that too you sometimes!! I’m 54 now and my dad still want tell me how much he got for the car. Nice job with sharing the story and what it meant to you. I've got two elementary school age daughters myself and just sold my 68 Vette and bought a 68 Camaro so that I can take both and the wife. At first they hated the cars because they are old and loud, but they are getting better with it. Only a couple runs so far. If they end up not liking it it's OK but you never know unless you give it a run. It might be a big deal to them one day.

Yeah, when Carlee came along, the Corvette was pretty inconvenient. When I was a kid, I rode in the back, but I'd say today's law enforcement would frown on that. Around that time is when our '64 Chevelle four door came into the picture. We can all hop in it and go wherever we want. I'm sure I'll end up doing a video on that one at some point as well.

Great story. I was 16 in 1969. I was always into Z/28’s and still am with my 70 Z/28 which I bought in 1981 from the orig owner.

Your 64 Corvette brings back memories of my dad's 64 Corvette convertible, he had his in the early 70's painted it copper metal flake! It had an isky cam a Holley 750 dp and the Hooker 4-1 side pipes black, it had a Muncie M21 4 speed and 4.56 gears with Mickey Thompson soft compound tires on ET mags!
It ran 11.91@121 mph back in 75 at Englishtown NJ! Thanks for sharing your story, I wish he kept his and he does too! Great memories though!

Man great story it really reminds me of my Corvette experience as a young child. My dad had a 70 convertible he bought back in the late 70’s. He ended up selling it to my uncle in 1980 and he still has it. I’ve grown up with this car my whole life and have many memories. I currently own a 07 Z06 that’s supercharged.

If I could hit "like' 1,000 times it would not be enough. Everything about this video shouts A LEGACY OF LOVE that money can not buy.
Your father left you so much more than a super cool car, ( vette is my dream car) but he instilled an intangible ethic into your life to value family, hard work
and keeping a collectible car heritage alive.
AS others have said; "The look on your daughter's face PRICELESS". You are jow building memories for her future. Best Wishes from a gear head in Florida.
