I'm currently playing the dumbest mirror match with this deck. I have no idea if anybody will ever be able to win this matchup. We just keep Amalia wiping followed by a raise. Update: Opponent gave up. At one point we had almost 200 triggers on the stack.
I run Delney so I know I'm going to win any trigger wars.... or possibly cause Arena to end the game in a draw. I mostly play him as an alternate wincon. With just Delney and a Sanctifier on the field, playing Starscape Cleric with offspring does 32 damage.
I think 36? 3 Starscapes, each triggering sanctifier 2x = 6 triggers, each 3x starscape goes off 2x each trigger = 6 starscape triggers 6x6 36? I have been trying to math it for a bit @@fluffyfang4213
Loved the past few videos. You seem like you're having fun even in the games where you get screwed. Glad you're able to find decks to try even with standard where it is
Funny story. I just played against a “mill deck” with this strategy. They milled me all the way down to nine cards left. I brought it all back. 😂 I didn’t even get to see all of the counters. They died after the first set. ❤
I've played a version of this deck with quite a bit of success. However you may as well scoop the moment a Temporary Lockdown or Sunfall hits the field.
That's why I like diversifying my 2-drops rather than have 4 of each card. Cathar Commando handles Lockdown while Bartolome mostly counters Sunfall. Ayli does a bit of both.
I love this deck. Playing a version with Bortolome Del Presidio as a free sac outlet and Vengeful Bloodwitchs. There are turns when I can Raise The Past and get 50+ triggers. If that doesn’t kill them I just sac my board with Presidio and go again. Creatures doing damage on ETB and when they die 😂
I love seeing the Bloomburrow cards. Not a Magic player but I'm pretty sure that's the first set I've seen a significant amount of since I watched RTGame open a box set of it way back when
The Tale of Tamiyo -- You pack you graveyard and can even get some card draw from this and at the end get to cast Raise the Past. I find this card can end the game on the 4th turn it is out.
@@pbbppbbp This is not a fast deck. It takes several turns with or without Tale to win but win it does and often. Tale is just a better choice for card draw and filling the graveyard fast.
I just love that deck. I don't have every card and not enough Wildcards but made some adjustments. Funny thing is if you combine Starscape cleric with bloodthirsty conqueror you get a infinite loop and autowin.
I love Raise the Past. I've been running it in my "Bunnies go brrrrr" deck. Get Impact Tremors on the field, get Raise the Past in hand and use Jace to mill myself to put as many Hares into the graveyard and then play Raise the Past and watch the triggers stack to a really dumb amount. lol Hence it's name "Bunnies Go BRRRR"
I built several decks with Amalia, because I hate beeing either mana screwed or flooded - and I have the feeling that especially those decks are even more broken in kind of land draws than usual. Sometimes I feel I draw more lands in a row when I already have more than enough, or then miss the 3rd land drop for ages...
Been playing a build just like this for a while but couldnt resist throwing in one bt conquer for the infinite combo which is hilarious when it happens. Also had my Amalia explode the board for the first time today lul.
Enduring Innocence may work in this deck as well for good card draw (all creature power less than 2) and lifelink also. Though would not be brought back with raise the past
Idk why no one plays with added blue. I added blue to use archaeologist which gets cure/raise and fills grave and also gosips talent which while not a creature works the same way as a gorehound and against slower decks or against gravehate allows you to blink your whole board each turn
I quit playing Arena because the shuffler is the ultimate decision maker on if you win or not. It isn't about skill, it isn't about deck build... if the shuffler has determined you lose this match, you lose. Even if you have a deck that doesn't rely on the shuffler, the shuffler will make the opponent's hand the faster win con.
Since the recent video (in which I was lucky enough to feature), I've been having (what I consider) a friendly yet heated debate with an avid supporter of this version of the deck. Many of the matches here showcase my exact argument for the Esper version. "Come on!! Where is Raise the Past???" If any of you out there are thinking of crafting/brewing around this style of deck, I have only one bit of advice. You can't reliably trust your topdecks and a couple of surveils and explores to get the job done. You NEED dedicated sorcery-grabbing mill and all the bodies you can fit. Otherwise you're going to brick way too many games and die to enormous things,
@@kunimitsune177 Yeah, it might need a few other adjustments. But it's not exactly the most specific combo, play some of that one mana 3/2 that gives itself a cursed role or something.

xd
I'd consider running a single Kutzil's Flanker for any potential mirror matches.
200+ triggers? Sounds like one hell of a game!
My highest total is 352 triggers.

You don`t if you have Bartolomeo. You can sacrifice everything before it gets exiled.

Felidar Cub says hi
This is the first deck i've wanted to go build in a longass time.
I've been running it for a few days and I think I'm 12-2 or something
We must construct additional Pile Ons
Aww. I was hoping for Mahamoti Djinn and Craw Wurm shenanigans.

The other benefit is if you are playing discard and can get this out you got the Raise the past from the graveyard.
4th turn it is out? slow much?

Loved finding the new Spirited Companion for standard coming out of BloomBurrow. Definitely adding that to most of my white decks

I play this with beseech the mirror, a few wraths and a few enchants to sac to bargain, very fun deck
If you’re looking for a Raise the Past, cast the extra hounds. It will accelerate the surveil and get you there faster.
It's been interesting seeing Annex everywhere, then it disappearing from the meta for a while, and now it's back again.
Pretty fun deck, been using rottenmouth viper in there works pretty well. Been struggling find a deck that fits it well.

Always here for the Peter Venkman quotes!

I've been playing an Esper version of this with the Archeologist/Picklock/Founding The Third Path package.
Also, Oracle of Tragedy works like the Hunter, and it allows you to fill the yard pretty well too.
@@deadneck13 Here here! I've been advocating for the Esper version of this deck everywhere I go. Glad to see I'm not alone.
I love how his videos lately went from "It smashes mono red!" To "It beats pixies!" lol

This has inspired me to make a Boros version
Serendib Efreet was a good old creature

I do! You're not alone! There are dozens of us!
Best land deck in the current meta. Tired of missing thise land drops? Play almost any deck cgb has to offer. Unluckiest player alive
I once decked myself playing this before I got 4 mana to cast raise the past. Deck shufflers not broken at all 😂
like other people have said, this deck best runs with blue. i like to jace myself for a huge payoff
You need to cut some cards and add some blue for tale of Tamiyo and the otter that can find spells it gives you a more reliable combo with raise dead
Was surprised that I was playing against you in the ladder! Couldn't believe that you played MonoRed😂
Really? What a "toilet gamer".

i mean if you want to run unholy anex but have no demons you can run phyrexian arena, that's still in standard. you could also run beseech
I used a varient of this tongrind out mythic this month it was great fun...
Every time you say Pile On I think there’s a Pylon in your deck

Woooooow. Imagine if Lurrus was in standard...
But CGB… give me a 1 of Charming Prince in here too
Wouldn't Market Gnomes just be better than helpful hunter?
I guess you could play bloodghast in this deck when ather rift is out
Needs Beseech the Mirror maybe? Functionally more copies of Raise the Past?
There's not much to bargain in this deck so it's mostly just an over-costed tutor.
@@kunimitsune177 Yeah, it might need a few other adjustments. But it's not exactly the most specific combo, play some of that one mana 3/2 that gives itself a cursed role or something.
Dogs and Cats, living together, mass hysteria. 🚫
Judge! Judge, this man is cheating! He drew 70 lands in a 60-card deck!
This is brutal 😅
You were right the first time on "dewdrop" -- dew is not pronounced "doo"
8:15 thoughtseize in this standard? Oook then
saw you lose to this deck a few days ago. exact same list. give them the credit for the deck plz. it ended up beating you soundly.
It wasn't the exact same list. In fact it wasn't even the same color combo. That deck was Esper.
I prefer Delney
T2 Lifecreed Duo
T3 Delney
T5 Starscape Cleric
Ok, i play Rest In Peace. Go??
