This tutorial was a godsend bro, I spent like an entire week trying to defeat Xiao. I followed everything closely but unfortunately my Yesod Purple Tear died on the third scene of Xiao second act so I had to synergize with Mal-cute’s floor. Malkuth absolutely decimated Xiao’s remaining stagger bar and I just went full rampage mode on staggered Xiao.
@@RYANKAJANTERRYMoe dont have enough slots to do it. Could replace battle ready for the smiling faces passive and add 2 deep drags would get the results.

when i first play this game, i kept using keter floor, but after watching a speedrun, i found out that guns ARE INDEED POWERFULL. especially the blue one that chipped everyone resistant.
Guns are strong but full stop office is bad and are carried by there passive to get number advantage. When the thumb and rabbits came ya they deserved their spotlight. I think after the speed runs everyone found out about how good the first turn passives are and realize how having a good early game is more important than late game

And on my 2nd attempt after I realized Social Sciences the first phase was REALLY unlucky. A bit more info would have been useful as I am a bit confused as to how, with solem lament I did everything as told, Xiao was marked and it didnt stagger her for some reason...
xiao power nulls on first tuirn. I solemn lament to get all the power stacks on THE SECOND TURN. Make sure pt is at emotion level 5 by that second turn to get darkflame to reverse xiaos resistances
@@albaeiras2263 yeah i did do that it might have been the stance issue then because i had blunt stance i think and shes weak or fatal or whatever to blunt so maybe the reverse didnt work? anyways all good I did manage to beat her got her to like 200 hp with like 20 stagger and then the next floor was able to kill her since ive got all the other star of the city pages
Must be the unluckiest person in the world because every single time i do the solemn lament 2 red notes and leap you end up with 100 hp left and i always end up with around 250 so i never kill her successfully

Now that i think about it, maybe i didn't... I kinda forgot did i actually red-misted her or binah-ed her, since i abuse those characters a lot in these stages of the game...
I'm so late to this vid but ngl this is kind of the reason why I dislike recommending first time players to look up guides, cause a lot of the difficulty in the game comes from figuring out what to do. So once a guide just tells you a set strategy on how and what to do a lot of the game becomes very procedural and simple, especially since the game tends to hard favor the player rather than the enemies assuming the player knows what they're doing. But I suppose not everyone enjoys the process of trial and error on initial playthroughs, which, granted, can be frustrating.
Now guide on less easy xiao (actually roughly the same strategy might work, you'll just need to think more about each turn and take it slower since she'll have hp gates every 140 hp in 2nd phase)
when the mod author rereleases it i'll look into it. If she doesn't have stagger gates then Yesod will destroy her. Cause he can go stagger mode for non power null turns and stagger her (2 light restore on these turns and play draw). Then for power null and xiao is staggered can recover his light with energy cycle. Substituting the 2 cost smoke cards for draw would be enough. He would need to clash more though to get more emotion coins for his ego attacks
You know i went into this thinking "okay it might just take multiple tries so it's all good" and then i beat it first try with ease (also got Blunt stance at the first turn of wave 2), thanks for the guide! Wish i had this guide sooner
either your at emotion level 5 or didnt hit your emotion level from 4 to 5. Getting emotion level gives light restore. if at 5 you need to use spend light then restore it in order for the recovery to work
I tried to use solemm lament on her but she blocked all my attacks and killed me on the second turn,what i did wrong? what should i do? The solemm lament didn't get buffed in my run
dont use it on the first turn THERES A POWERNULL! You use it on second turn The only thing you do first turn if lacking emotion coins to hit level 5 is to clash a bit on first turn to get emotion level 5
general reception so no books that trigger a story beat. 1 star of the city first tier book on the right side is for dong. 2 books is for owl where feint is 3 is for udjat
Clashes (outside of ties) win or lose will give 1 Max or min rolling 1 If states on card Killing 1 person with THAT character gains 3 positive emotion coins If one of your guys die, all of your characters gain 3 negative emotion coins Its getting enough to level up the character and get access to strong abnormality pages is why i say focus on leveling a character (can only gain 1 level a scene but like with the Xiao 2nd part yesod was 5 so he gets all the abnormalities at once)

yup throw in blunt stances 50% stagger damage as well
@@albaeiras2263Also add the smoke passive which does 50% more stagger dmg equal to your smoke and the fact that smoke is best used on yesods floor

all my Nuggets on act 1 failed very very miserably to deal 150+ damage and we got shit on when the mass attack started.
i got to act 2, yesod managed to stagger with solemn lament, but died since he had no light left

unequip the redmist from kali and unattribute it as well if you have to take off combat pages. usually does the trick
