I was at this game. Got there two hours and got to see the tigers have bp. Met Tork and he gave me his batting gloves and signed them after I told him that I play first base just like him!
A game emblematic of the blue jays' problems. Bad baserunning, poor communication with each other, generally seeming checked out.

my tigers are having a great season i'm happy we turned around AJ Hinch is turning out to be a great hire. he has these young guys believing in themselves that's all you can ask for we could win this division and make a playoff run.
Jays manager is not built for this team
They should’ve gotten rid of him a long time ago. Letting Manoah go out for the 7th makes absolutely no sense given the situation
But he’s not built for baseball either. He has no baseball IQ, doesn’t understand his players, nor situations during a game and runs the team by analytics rather than nouse. But will he be there at the end of the season, yes! There’s no reason to change as long as there’s no MLB competition in Toronto. Just like the leafs. Just like the province where I can only buy my gin at one store! It’s like a good old fashioned Soviet circa 1956. What a place!

The Blue Jays continue to play like a double A team. A shake up is needed in the team. There is no way I am spending a dollar going to the Rogers Centre to see them play like this.
They literally blew out the Tigers the night before. You're not going to win every game, or even come remotely close to winning every game. This is baseball
But would you pay a dollar to see them play like they did in their last two games? They hit four homers I believe. Every team wins 60 and every team loses 60. The purpose of paying hard earned money is to go to the ballpark and have fun whether your team wins or loses. It's baseball, Seinfeld said it's totally meaningless and random. Just enjoy it.

I have no problem with the Blue Jays losing as long as you can see that they are trying to play their best. My problem is when they lose game because of running errors, catching blunders, anemic offence and mediocre pitching, all at the same time.

It is the running errors, the catching blunders, and the general anemic way in which they are playing that gets to me. I have no problem with them losing after a well played game.
Toronto should trade Vladdy now while he's worth something. Talk about a big bust!

@@Randomperson-lh6rz he is paid millions to play ball, he should know he is slow. He is picked off often. Jogs out grounders, and lacks effort a lot. In general he is at fault, maybe not this specific instance.

Think that''s more for limps and whatnot outside the box. If his legs is firmly inside the box and the ball hit inside the box, don't think its on the batter to play dodge ball.
You don't have to normally get out of the way unless the pitcher is constantly missing his location. Like Manoah
I can envision this management selling off Bo, Vlad or Kikuchi yet keep putting Alek out there every fifth game to struggle with his location. I think the world of Manoah, young and hunry, what's not to like? and i hope he has a resurgence and wins 20 games in a few years but for the love of Pete please please do it with any other team.

The Jays need to get some real seasoned men on this team and quit playing like a bunch of undisciplined kids. There seems to be a lack of player leadership, not to mention coaching.
How every hitter on the Jays could NOT figure out this washed up chucker is beyond comprehension. He threw 81% off speed pitches between 80 and 85 ALL DAY!!!

I have been holding back on voicing this. I have felt this since last year. I believe Vladdy is the DUMBEST player in mlb. The choices he makes on the field are just ridiculous. From base running no brainers to running when he feels like it. He's freaking 25 years old and still hasn't learned to hustle when it is required. Just mind blowing. Sure he's a good hitter but that's all you get with this guy. I know it didn't make a difference but he cost a run by his dumb attempt to score on a shallow hit to right field. Carpenter has an arm that got Vladdy easily. We all know his mistakes on the basepaths (getting picked off in the wild card game was jaw dropping). Just pathetic.
