I think everyone knows it by now, but man, is this one of the best fighting game songs ever. It's great to listen to, but just as importantly, its great to listen to while fighting someone. In that regard, its an S+ fighting game theme. It keeps you energized and focused on the match while also just being a great song. I feel like we could all just gush about Night Walker for ages, but this is my 10 cents.

Fighting game music is underrated. Especially anime fighting games, Blazblue, Guilty Gear Strive, Skullgirls, Melty, UNI, so many bangers in this genre alone.

I find it really interesting that although I have never played this game before, nor do I know / understand the context as to why this is as impactful as it is for some, Ive found myself coming back to this song with the same enthusiasm I had when I originally heard it. There is definitely something beyond the context that makes this so special.
I think the chromatic descending arpeggiated chords in the beginning are super similar to the fairy fountain theme from zelda, and anything zelda is super nostalgic sounding
The fact that you really referenced MegaMan battle network as something this song makes you reminisce on really shocked me because I felt the exact same and figured since MMBN series is so niche I'd never be able to share that feeling. Who'd have ever thought someone could read something so wholesome on RUclips: the cesspool of negativity.

I've gotten to a point where I want to know if there was more video game music like that and surprisingly there is. The man who had a big part in making the music for network transmission actually composed many other games. Two games ive been recommended were Mamorukurn Curse and eschartos (I'm most likely misspelling them) and the music for both games give the exact same vibe that MMBNT has which makes me happy to hear more of this type. Never played the game, but by the looks of it, her style consists of something like the Faron Blades, but from what I've seen, she wields it more like AOT ODM gear swords. Also amazing theme, can't wait to finally try this game out.
