Very interesting to see the comparison. I also like the face of the Hasbro doll more than the Mattel face. I think I even like it more than the Disney stroe doll face. Her eyes to me look way to big somehow. Yeah but you can't beat fabric clothes!!!! I'm glad Mattel got nice hair quality at least. One of the biggest issues with modern Barbie/Disney doll skirts for me is that they are sooo narrow. No width at all in the long skirts. Does it really cost that much to gibe the skirts a little more inches width...🙄 Hey, I would enjoy a video of you ranking the Disney princesses! For every princess you could always quickly show your favourite doll that you own of her. I would love to see that :) Or if you don't own a doll of that character, is there a doll you would like to have of her?
I took the Mattel head and put her on an Inspired by Jasmine Disney ILY 4EVER doll. Best decision EVER! I might reroot her so that she has longer hair, but otherwise she’s my perfect doll 😊
The new Mattel head is beautiful! Mine is a Comfy Squad, I love her SO CRAZY face although she's not movie accurate at all, and her hair is terrible poly! 😋 Mattel's hair is saran! 👍❤️💕

I was 2yrs old when Barbie was first introduced. I received my first Barbie when I was 4yrs old. I don't have my original Barbie dolls as my mom gave them away when we moved. Anyway, I started first collecting vintage dolls from my childhood and later started collecting other dolls. The Saran hair holds up to child play and still lasts for years! In the 70's ( I think it was around 1973) with the Oil Crisis. That's when doll production & doll clothes changed. The Mattel Vintage Mod dolls are a perfect example of that. I think the Mego Toy company during that time period, may. have used polypropylene hair but I'm not sure. Whatever they used, it's the worst hair! I have a couple of Celebrity Mego Dolls from the 70's that have horrible hair! IWhen I purchased them, I didn't know what kind of hair that they had and thought that I could repair the hair.I have one that looks like her hair was fried. I have tried to fix it but haven't had any luck. This is the main reason I don't like Polypropylene hair. It won't last. If I were to buy a doll for my granddaughters, I would only buy them one with saran hair. I know it will last better than nylon or polypropylene hair. And if it gets tangled, it can be repaired. For collecting dolls, that is totally different. Collectors are going to take care of their dolls. But as a collector, I personally love Saran hair. When I reroot a doll's hair, that's what I use is Saran hair. I also use the knot method. I love your videos because you are always so positive and upbeat!!

I agree on choosing Mattel over Hasbro for this one because a hair play doll NEEDS hair play accessories! Does Hasbro not understand that hair play dolls are supposed to have hair play accessories and not just a brush?? I also don’t like painted/molded on doll clothes because how are you supposed to change their clothes if the clothes are painted/molded on?!

They didn't become cheap. There are multiple Rapunzel dolls on the market, and they all range in price and quality. In this video I'm simply reviewing and comparing two specific dolls that happened to be budget hairplay dolls. If you don't like them, you might prefer the Disney store version you can get on shopdisney.com or on Amazon.

I think I actually prefer the Mattell face because the Hasbro one has a pointed chin, which looks odd to me. Plus I love a healthy tan on a doll! LOL

I love both companies for year's but these dolls are really eh like I dont like the plastic clothes

100% Hasbro. They are more cartoonic as they should, Mattel is ok but there is something wierd... Probably the colors, too much of it
