I have been to the annual Southern vs. Grambling game played on the Saturday after Thanksgiving in the New Orleans Superdome. The football is great, but the bands and the fans are even better. It is known as the ‘Stroll Bowl”, because everyone dresses to the T and walks around the whole game having fun. Geaux Jags! I lived in Baton Rouge for ten years. Southern is my HBU team for life.
I will always love Southern University the best four years of my life, great place for education, dope parties, a great family atmosphere and the best band in the world the Human jukebox.

Football just got out of a contract with Russell so for a few years you can wear what you want until the swac decides to create a new contract with Nike. The Nike contract is with the swac and doesn’t include uniforms yet atleast
It would be dope if the top athletes went to HBCUs. It would be a much more intense experience. The NCAA would hate though and put a ban on it or something because HBCUs would win all of the championships while having a better half time show than the super bowl.

I only attended two HBCU football games. The Orange Blossom Classic in Orlando and Hampton-Howard in DC. I haven't attended a game played by a SWAC school.

Southern has hired new coaches hopefully the new quarterbacks coach can help Ladarius Skelton he is a great athlete dangerous runner his passing skills needs to match his running skills we got promising receivers tall ones that can stretch the field
