400 Class Garratt Locomotives, Part 2: Port Pirie to Peterborough

  • This is Part 2 of a series of videos capturing scenes of 400 Class Garratt steam locomotives working on the narrow-gauge Peterborough Division of the South Australian Railways. The scenes are of the locomotives heading eastbound, out of Port Pirie, inland toward Peterborough with intermediate stops such as Crystal Brook and Gladstone. They are taken from old 8mm movies recorded in the late 1960’s. As a result, there is no audio track on this video.
