    I would recommend the sway bar kit. It's kinda of a pain to figure out what's the best way to mount the rear sway bar. Many people have done the rear bar so many different ways. Once I got mine all mounted on the difference it makes in handling and turning. It was well worth the money.

    did u have to use wheel extensions?

    Just did the same to my 4x4 slash frickin love it rallys hard not as fast, motor gets hot but i keep an eye on it , the slipper does get torqued to the max on solid ground but with all that i dig it!!

    I would recommend getting the sway bar kit. It helps with not flipping over as much. I have a 2wd slash that I have upgraded so much. It was the sway bar kit, leg chassis, aluminum shock caps, velineon brushless motor & ESC, a LED light bar & New 2.2 proline gladiators.

    Do u have to change the gear mesh or slipper clutch tension?

    I'm just now getting into this what's the difference between brushless and not

    • @GBMike1
      @GBMike1  6 лет назад

      Blaze Gifford brushless will go faster and less likely to burn out. A brushed motor will eventually burn out and isn’t as fast

    I love the lift look on the slash I'm in the middle of doing one now my self.i think I they should start making more after market parts for the this type of up grade it's become very popular and make pre cut bodies for the this type of style up grade. I love it !!!!!!!! 😄.

    • @Ian-nn1tp

    Did you have to switch the gearing at all with the larger tires? if so what gears you running? if anyone has answers to this question Please jump in... Thanks

    • @GBMike1
      @GBMike1  4 года назад

      HKGuy Snowman#1 I did not switch the gearing. Left it stock. No issues

    Can i run this set up with the vxl no problem or is it the same as running the set up with just the slash?

    • @blitzkrieggoose4827
      @blitzkrieggoose4827 5 лет назад +1

      If you put larger diameter tires you need to get a smaller pinion gear. The larger tires are a bigger load on your motor so down gearing will keep the motor happy.

    You don't have to trim the body I use an extra pair of body mounts that you use in the back for the front

    • @GBMike1
      @GBMike1  7 лет назад

      Mariano Blanco good idea! I’ll have to try that

    Just want to know,how you fitt the trenchers? Becuse all the slashes have diffrent offset hex in front and rear. Do that matter anything?

    • @GBMike1
      @GBMike1  6 лет назад

      Hans kristian Knudsen no issues with fitting. They go right on.

    • @ConditionZero76
      @ConditionZero76 4 года назад

      Buy a set of RPM front & rear offset A-Arms. The RPM offset will make both front & back same size so now you can run any wheels you like..

    I did the same upgrade but instead i have the vxl 3s motor and i ended up snapping the axles so i upgraded with the metal ones and the metal hub to the wheel. I've changed my clutch about 3 times now but im getting ready to upgrade to 6s its kinda slow to me now with 3s

    Hello, Have you noticed that the larger and wider tires make your Slipper clutch much hotter or make it start to smoke?

    • @GBMike1
      @GBMike1  7 лет назад

      Kevin Nunan hey yea I noticed when I had the titan 12t motor in it but after I switched to the brushless system it hasn't done it. I just got a 4x4 brushless slash. I'll be trying the larger tires on that. Will have a video on it soon!

    • @911dott
      @911dott 7 лет назад

      I run 3.7 half-ups with 3.2 tires stretched to fit and my clutch never smokes. I also run aluminum slipper pads from a T-maxx.

    • @kevinnunan2744
      @kevinnunan2744 7 лет назад +1

      Well it makes sense that your slipper will not smoke with the aluminum pads. Aluminum will melt not smoke. Maybe I will change out the stock pads for something better. I was thinking of getting HR's slipper clutch upgrade. How long have you run Aluminum pads and with what battery and motor type?

    I don't fully understand what "bashing" means. can you tell me.

    • @GBMike1
      @GBMike1  7 лет назад

      ALEXANDER GARY bashing is RC lingo for just driving it around, and hitting jumps. Basically there’s either racing where you race with other rc cars or there’s bashing. Where you do your own driving without a defined track.
