I don't know that anyone language is the best for singing as such .
I think it's a mixture of groove and vibes that is propelling Nigerian music forward!
Because I have no time for Apala or Fuji which are sung extensively in Yoruba!
I find those genres dull flat and boring!
Tekno, Flavour, Chike and Phyno can hold your attention singing in Igbo which I don't understand either!
But this modern Nigerian Beatz with its mixture of Yoruba, Pidgin, Igbo and English makes it much more palatable!
I think Afrobeats works well because of its rich layered culture.
Having said that , as good and as eye catching as he is ,Asake might never reach the heights of Tems, Burna Boy and Wizkid , who all sing in more English and Pidgin slangs!!
That is one thing with Nigerians, once they figure how something works, they will take it to a whole new level. This is just the beginning. Epic vibes!
