He along with Pascal Siakam are probably the most underrated wings in the league currently. Ingrams playoff rise went unnoticed for some reason but he was dominating the DPOY runner up and the best team in basketball. His playmaking and scoring at the forward position are elite and he’s making strides as a defender one of my favourite players in the league
Ingram playoff didn’t go in noticed. Literally everyone is talking about him and during there playoffs. But earlier in the year I would say he was not noticed
Been an Ingram fan since he drafted and been my favorite player after Kobe Bryant. Part of me wished he stayed in LA but I am glad he has been balling with the Pels. Been watching all the Pelican games and actually rooting for this team they have a great fan base and fun culture. Hopefully this is the year Ingram takes that next step in All NBA maybe superstar type player. He's already a perennial allstar moving forward just needs hardware now.
There're always a lot fun to watch BI hooping since 2018, BI 1.0 era, after he got his first obvious body transformation: have the nba-level body but not stable enough, and his agility during his late Laker time and his first pelicans year were insane. This season his body gained more weight, though the agility seemed to be down a little, he bring his core power to next level making him a much better scorer and playmaker. People always say BI is baby durant(to me he is more like kobe), but he actually builds his own swag. Hope he can bring more art pieces on the court.
YES, his game is very similar to Kobe in his #24 years when he wasn’t the most athletic player on the court. His shot making and pump fake ability while getting to his spots is extremely Kobe like
Out of the stars, he’s like the most….I want to say unrespected, not disrespected. You ask anybody about him they’ll heap tons of praise on him, but if you don’t say anything, no one will mention him.
Bi was so good last year as an all around player that as a pels fan I would say right now he is better than Zion, he does such a good job controlling the game on the offensive end and it’s very pleasing to watch. As far as making all star game, put it this way he is better than a lot of guys who made the all star team and probably better than a lot of guys who people would have above Ingram on a top 30 nba player list. The game has slowed down for him a ton and hope willie continues to play through him next season
I can see that ... except that Ingram would do more than Middleton who's just a scorer for Giannis...Ingram can be a playmaker too and vise versa with Zion, Cj would definitely be the guy who'll they go to when they need a bucket💯Ingram would be the facilitator, then Zion would do his thing and imagine how much pressure would he take off of Ingram and Cj💯
I'm a big fan of Brandon Ingram, I like his game, everything you said is true, he's been steady improving, he plays with complete control and knows how to play make, a lot of wings defend and score but only a few can create offense for their teammates. With Zion coming back I see his game taking another step forward.
Crazy to think BI is only 24! People forget he got drafted as a teen. He’s become a great play maker which helps a player become even better. When a shot creator can become a playmaker they ascend to another level.
As a Pels fan, BI is definitely my favorite current player and he low key replacing CP3 as my fav NOLA player period. Dude is a BALLER. definitely one of the most underrated players in the league
He’s always been really good on both ends. He’s just even keeled and chill minded. He’s not fiery & overly passionate like a KG he doesn’t wear his heart on his sleeve. But he’s 1 of the best basketball players in the world and most valuable with big length good agility and has a Swiss Army knife plethora of skills on offense sand is able to make his team mates better on both ends of the floor.
Great video Alex! Pelicans can make the finals imp next year if zion stay healthy and brandon ingram continues to improve along with the chemistry of zion and cj mccollum
I think BI has a punchers chance at being All-NBA 3rd team next season If he maintains his scoring averages, improves the 3-point percentages, and gets up to 7 assists per game… I think he will be a guarantee for all-nba
With Zion back, if the Pels are rising and winning games, BI’s stock is going to rise as well. I think he could push for 2nd team, could, and I would be disappointed if did not at least make 3rd team.
It’s crazy that he’s only 24. Cause Donovan Mitchell is 25 already and Ingram has been in the league longer then Mitchell. And he’s younger haha. Ingram is the next KD!!! He’s gonna keep improving year after year I can see him becoming a shaper star 💫 in the league
Man I am so excited to see the Ingram/Zion P&R plays next season, whether it be Brandon cooking defenses with his mid range game, throwing it to Zion for lobs or just let Zion shred the backline with short P&R reps, it's going to be crazy.
you could argue behind bron hes the best passing forward in the league and unless ya watch pels games you wont know . Every elite player thats ever been has that moment where they go from great to elite and its usually in the playoffs thats what bi did this year
The pels have such fun pieces. Zion, BI, & CJ is a young versatile scoring big 3. Can’t wait to see them all healthy playing together they all bring different play styles to the game.
Yup. They really miss Jrue for his defense so hopefully they get a big PG for defense with decent 3. CJ was also a big upgrade, we'll see it next season and they can give Zion smaller minutes if he's healthy. Jaxson will backup the PF and C position so hopefully they also find a good backup for BI to give him rest.
I think dude is WAY undervalued and under appreciated! He’s big and improves every year! Young AF TOO! wish the bucks could somehow nab him! Trade Lopez and one or two other role players and some picks! Only issue with him is I’m not sure how good of a 3 point shooter he is and giannis NEEDS to be surrounded by dudes that can shoot threes and also shoot off the pass without having to dribble or make any moves.. I do like though how he can get his own shot however he wants and ANY TEAM loves that and needs at least 2 starters like that and 2 bench guys like that imo! Can NEVER get enough playmakers!
I say this too… ppl that use KD is being a bit lazy with the comparison. Yes he has supreme size like a KD but look at those half spins and leg kicks on fade aways. Also KD is more 3 point potent. Kobe was more mid range potent like BI is now.. Kobe was definitely his inspiration
With Zion coming back they won't need a true point. Zion can facilitate as well as B.I. and then add McCollum I think they can avg 14 ast/gm between the 3 of them. At first I didn't understand the Lonzo trade, but it make sense sometimes Lonzo can be a bit too passive. You look at the Pels roster you have Zion/B.I./CJ who can draw defensive attention which will lead to good 3pt attempts to shooters who just need to shoot. Add a long Graham who is their wild card because he's capable of dropping 35/40 himself. I can see them being a 5 seed going into the playoffs if majority healthy.
Ingram is a very underrated player it’s crazy because Ingram is honestly arguably better than Tatum and Brown easily. Top 5 at his position already.. not many wings can score like him with such ease and the shots he misses are just him missing not the defense affecting his shot. He’s a walking 25+ PPG 7 APG 7 RPG .. he’s a decent defender but he definitely needs to improve his perimeter defense . He has the tools to become an elite defender but his defense needs to improve drastically if he wants to take that next step to elite.
@@Tsuny999 he’s better then JB. BI was dealing with doubles and triples consistently due to his teammates being mid this szn until CJ came. If BI had JT he’d be even more crazy

If the Pels decide to do a small ball lineup with BI ,CJ , Herb Jones, Zion and Dyson Daniels, they gon be lethal on both sides, Just need Herb and Dyson to knock down open shots when the opportunity rises.
Not a bad lineup. I think a lineup we could see closing games by the end of the year is CJ, Herb, BI, Zion, and TM3 (as small ball 5)...Trey is around 6'10 in shoes now and has a 7'1 wingspan so should be able to guard a lot of 5s.
I just want him to stop getting hurt as a fan and also the Pels organization have to understand that Ingram and Zion might miss time during the season every year. They have to draft more superstars and all star players just in case both Zion and Ingram miss time in the foreseeable future.
