Freddie was the ultimate showman until the end! A.I.D.S. took him WAY to soon. He did finally find someone who loved him for himself and was as happy as he could be for his last few years.

Good God! That means, I mean... I dunno. If Queen could keep up that kind of intensity all shownite? Well, I can't even imagine. Of course, we were never on the level of Queen, but... From the regards of Freddie's piano, I just assumed he'd been singing and drinking all night long. Pure magic, at any rate. And, just for fun, check out how supercool Roger Taylor is.

Freddy Mercury ...... THE BEST ROCK VOCALIST EVER ........... EVER!!!!! NO auto-tune, NO backing singers to hide his mistakes, NO fake editing ........ Pure skill.
But Freddy's best vocal performance is also one of his last ones. The Show Must Go On. Recorded when he was basically dying. Bryan May was quoted as saying "Fred, I don't know if you can do this one." and Freddie downed a glass of vodka and said "I'll fucking do it, darling" and absolutely *crushed* it in one take. Legendary.
It is amazing. I don't think Freddie set foot on the stage without believing that he could "fucking do it, darling." It's so sad to watch though knowing we were losing him.
Roger Taylor the drummer would "carry" Freddie's voice when he was tired or sick (live aid). Roger's voice is pretty high. He's the one singing back and forth with Freddie in Crazy Little Thing Called Love.
@@queenremix1353 He did plenty of back up vocals on We are the Champions, Crazy Little Thing and Radio Gaga. Camera wasn't on him but you can hear him.

Since Freddy was so overpowering here, you didn't comment on the drummer's backing vocals, so I'd like you to react to "I'm in Love with My Car", which is sung by the drummer, who sings well enough to be the lead singer on most bands. The video to use is named: "Queen (Roger Taylor) I'm In Love With My Car Live In Montreal 1981 HD"
That song was mentioned in the movie, lol. This is performance a worth watching. No light show, no backup singers, no dancing, no trapeze, just pure entertainment by an incredible band. "is a performance worth"....ops
This performance made me re-evaluate Roger Taylor as a drummer. It's pretty unique that a drummer is a key vocalist in a band usually reserved for the role of lead guitarist.
My FAVOURITE performance by Freddie! Leo, the bag is appropriate because you are a gift to us all! Merry Christmas my friend! 🤗🌲🎅 (she did a good job on the wall, I like it! 😉🤫🤣)
I wish I could sing like that! This is one of my favorite performances of his--I have watched it numerous times. Never gets old for me. Love the whole band!
Thankfully for Freddie, he had two people that loved him for a very long time, until the day he died. The woman that was once his fiancé and the guy that was his partner for many years. It was still a sad ending for him. But he had TWO people who devoted their entire lives to him, and that's about the only comfort in his untimely passing.
Freddie was something special, the greatest frontman of all time. He could hold his own against anyone and knew how to get the crowd in the palm of his hand and hang on every word, a master of his craft. What an amazing band!

To see him really go to church on this song, look for the Milton Keynes concert from about a year later. Montreal is the best vocal performance, but to see more of Freddie’s personality and a bit of his respect for Aretha Franklin, do Milton Keynes. Happy Christmas.
You can never react to Queen enough. Freddie is the man. Love you, Leo, Merry Christmas, Fantastic Yule, Lovely Kwanzaa, Happy Hanukkah, whatever whoever LOVE!!!
My mum is from Kenya and when they went back for a wedding they did a quick trip to Zanzibar to see Farooq's old house. Btw find older photos of his sister Kashmira...she was hot in her day. Their family came to the Zoroastrian centre here in Rayner's Lane many years ago but I was too young to know what was going on.
In 2016, a group of Austrian, Czech, and Swedish researchers conducted research about Freddie's voice, and while they couldn’t confirm the long-held belief that his range spanned four full octaves, they did discover that despite being known as a tenor, he was more likely a baritone. They also found that Freddie's vocal cords moved faster than most people’s. While a typical vibrato will fluctuate between 5.4 Hz and 6.9 Hz, Mercury’s was a massive 7.04 Hz. All in all, Freddie Mercury had one of the most powerful voices ever known.
