Wow, what a wonderful selection for your spare parts inventory! Out of interest, I went through my old service notes and can tell you the original prices of some of these; this is the cost price to Sony dealers, without VAT, as at July 2000 : 3:44 X-3167-281-8 Cleaning roller -- Looks very similar to X-3167-281-3 used on DVW's, they cost £12.97 4:20 X-3675-858-1 Cleaning roller for PVW's, cost £3.38. [I could do with one of these - they are the sponge type which disintegrate] 9:00 X-3167-054-8 Pinchroller for DVW-A500 etc, cost £29.46 12:21 A-6741-066-C Reel brake for BVW-75 etc, cost £3.38 12:57 A-6762-463-B Upper drum for PVW-2600P, cost £196.00 Nice seeing that record button fit on the Panasonic. The prices for parts being charged on the webpages you showed are deplorable, I would avoid them like the plague! Probably the best source of spares is buying untested/scrap machines, they appear on ebay all the time really cheap (unless they are a SL-HFxx Betamax!), but usually you have to collect, and you need the storage space.
@@video99couk They weren't bad. Depends on the machines, BVW & DVW were always more expensive than PVW/UVW, but they are a different class of machine. E.g. Complete drum assembly for DVW-A500P was £2598, for BVW-75P : £2107, PVW2800P & UVW1800P : £524.
Hi, some of the spare parts you have, the variable resistors 1k, 10k and 20k belong to the sony pvm 9020me video monitor. I have used many of these monitors over time and I still have a few working. You are so lucky to have those spares :)
I've got a DVW-A500P that doesn't pull the tape through in play, but all other transport functions work perfectly. I'm now wondering if it just needs a new pinch roller! Didn't realise they were a common failure.
I think at 10:00 thats actually a date code. So it wasn't manufactured in 2017, A date code is read as MMYY so it was manufactured in the 20th month of 1917. Hope that helps Colin
Good night friend, I really like your channel here in Brazil, I watch all your videos, I learn a lot with your tips. I'm going to ask you a question which is the best TBC brand or model with a cost-effective and cheap coating that meets my need to reduce the failures of VHS video cassette tapes so that I can do a quality digitization
You can keep some and sell the excess parts to make some money, Kids can help you list them online. If you have a play button for the J3-SDI let me know.
hi there's alot of the sony a500p around the only thing they are very heavy i am very fit and having to be carefull about my back i have turn down so many betacam sp digi decks all working just the space i have 10 digi one in the hall i payed silly low money for they all work £25-£40 each the front panels and buttons coming away and breaks in panels my brother payed for alot of them money in the deck is better than in the bank and i checked what people like you fee's are are very easy to get money back
I did get one. And then on that very day of course, I found my spare one from the previous SuperBeta job. Did it fix the SL-HF900? Watch my channel to find out! If your STK5441 is not likely to be needed by you, I wouldn't mind it as another spare as they're not particularly reliable.
Parts like this are becoming like needles in haystacks, amazing to get so many in a job lot like this. A superb score!!

Those original prices are very fair indeed. You could quite happily change your pinch roller every couple of years at that price.

New old stock wonderful items to keep our relics working. Well done.
Nice score, interesting that the pinch rollers were manufactured just 6 years ago.

The single black line resistors are probably fusible links. In a lot of things they are used as fuses. So having replacements is nice.
Maybe, but would need to know their fusing current.

10:32 looks like a rubber cover for the jog/shuttle knob of a sony EVO-9800p Hi8 recorder
Yes it just might be. Perhaps I'll change that over on my Hitachi HR-C20 just because I can.
@@video99couk Just saw your video of your HR-C20. It's just the same machine. And it looks like he could use a new one🤣
The rubber shuttle/jog wheel looks like it could be for a series 9 Umatic deck.
What a great haul. 👍

I would start with getting an SVHS machine which includes a TBC. There were several models from Panasonic and JVC.

changing of BVW75 head by Sony service was nearly 4.000 Euro.
That's horrendous!
@@video99couk yes. If you look into the service manual you know the reason. A lot of workload 😁

I am in need of a couple of cleaner rollers for a Sony SL-2100 ntsc buttonless betamax....Anyone?
I have a spare 5441 if you don't get it and it's original sony.
