Sama hvaðan lagið er, þá er ég ég afslappaður og ánægður eftir að hlusta á þetta lag. Ef tónlist væri nammi að þá er þetta mjúk karamela húðuð með sætu mjólkur súkkulaði.
@TheLallarock the faroese version of this song: "langt burt frá ørðum løndum" is written by Gulak Jacobsen, which takes the melody from swedish original, the same as this song does, but in this song, it is no longer a song about the beauty of one's country as it is in with the swedish and the faroese one, but instead about the girl of ones dreams.
Hlynur Hallgrímsson No it’s not. There are a swedish song called värmlandsvisan that uses the same old traditional swedish tune.. but this two songs are totally different songs
@eriksjoeberg More like "I want to get a girlfriend" and in the song he is describing her and how beautiful and graceful she is and how she needs to behave well.
Jahmanjah1 It’s a very old traditional swedish tune. Most famous lyrics in sweden were written in the 1800s (but the tune is much older) and is called ”värmlandsvisan” or ”avk värmeland du sköna” and have been sung by very many singers through out the years. This song has nothing to do with värmlandsvisan, they have just done the same as they did when värmlandsvisan were written.. they took an old traditional tune and wrote a text
Atli Viðar Naaa... it’s two different songs but uses the same old traditional swedish tune. But you think about värmlandsvisan witch is the most recignised text to the tune
No ma quasi, si scrive frábært (con la lettera strana di Æ che é piú o meno come A e E insieme e suona come - ai - in italiano) ma il resto hai scritto perfetto

I love that he doesn't try to sound jamaican. this is how people should adopt a music style, make it sound like it origined in the country you're from
I just love this song!🥰❤❤
Klarinettsólóið er náttlega tímalaus schnilld.
Slær algerlega út sama sóló á "plötunni_disknum"....

Ack Värmeland, du sköna!

Dette var fantastisk flott!!!
Gustav 'Vasa' I of Sweden singing and Birk Borkasson, from Ronia the Robber's Daughter, on drums.

Just so awsome!!! Love the band...and they are singing in Icelandic old norse..;) How cool ain't that! :D
Old icelandic thank you....;-)
They're just singing in Icelandic. It just so happens that Icelandic is slightly less totally dissimilar to Old Norse than most other languages.
Icelandic and old norse is basically the same, yes. Even elementary kids can read old norse sagas

i think this is the original by Monica Zetterlund - Ack Värmeland, Du Sköna . But i think this song is were old at the begining from the 1500.
Jahmanjah1

It’s not ”a version” of a swedish song. It’s a different song. The famous swedish song happens to use the same traditional folk melody :)
