Vulnerable and forced to sleep rough: The shocking state of the UK housing system

The shocking state of the United Kingdom housing system forces extremely vulnerable young women and men to sleep rough in order to be considered for emergency or suitable accommodation. Based on the experience of our dear friend and sister, we have written to our MP John Penrose to ask about the existence of legislation that pushes the vulnerable in society off the safety of someone's sofa, and onto rough sleeping on the streets rather than give them safe accommodation that will suit their needs. There is not enough being done to tackle this problem and not enough money being spent by local councils to cater to the people in crisis.
