This show was about Dr. Dre and the artists he's discovered, produced, or on Aftermath. Mary is the Queen of Hip-hop Soul. She's a legend! She's rightw where she belongs. The ONLY one missing is Tupac! Holograms are creepy!

First of all these are dr. Dre's artists, the only person that was not dr. Dre's artists was Mary he produced the album that she sang the two songs from, everybody else he still produces their music. Eminem and Kendrick are his artist still.

Ppl need to stop.... the show was given to Dr. Dre to pick who HE wanted from HIS catalog to perform with him at this halftime show period! Everyone on there was produced by Dre at some point and was hand picked and personally called and asked by Dre. So everybody can go sit down somewhere with their funky opinions cause dude chose who he wanted from his music production. Those songs Mary did on the show, Dre produced! So why don't she belong there?? That also includes Anderson Paak, he produced a lot of his beginning solo. Say what you want, this was the best culturally, significantly because they did a lot of shit the NFL told them not to do....f'ing Epic!!!! Best One, cemented all day babeee.... you know what you know🤎✊🏽🚔

You’re not from here to fully get it. Dre had his hands in all of these particular artists. I don’t care for ppl speaking on what they aren’t well versed with & I see a lot of “others” speaking on what they don’t honestly know. The culture knows what’s going on though…✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽

Dr. Dre payed "homage" to Tupac during his piano segue between Eminem and Snoop. It lasted about 15 seconds, but it was there.

But what about California love. I know that they cut that short but they did fit it in the middle of the song. The Super Bowl halftime show can only be a certain amount of minutes, and to just get all of that shit in there the way that they did for 14 minutes it was like damn. I’m glad that the Super Bowl was there for the concert 🤣🤣

As for Mary J. (Beyond the Dre connection), it worked well as an interlude/bridge for the other artists. While you might be a hip-hop aficionado, the show has to appeal to a broader, mainstream, even conservative audience. Jay Z/Roc Nation getting the NFL to agree to the show as it was, is amazing.
