Since Johan the Rabbit was little he has lived at sea with his Father. He dreams about steering their ship and visiting a faraway kingdom where he thinks he will find his Mother. One day Johan receives a mysterious call on the ship radio with information about this mystical land and decides to set off on an adventure of his own.
Based on a traditional Scandinavian folk tale Beyond Beyond is a beautifully animated tale for children about reaching for the impossible and coming to terms with the absence of a loved one.

Watched this last night and it was a cute movie.A great way to discuss death with kids without being too depressing.
When he said "Oh no." When the bird took his mom, thought you loved you're mom, and that oh no sounds like your more happy she's gone. Oh my god... as if he actually cares his mom is gone. The logic in this movie is incredible..

They gave away the most important plot point (does he find his mother) in the trailer. :/
I read up on it, apparently (SPOILERS...just in case)
The whole thing is about the mother being taken to the afterlife and the kid being unable to accept her death/wanting to bring her back. So it's established fairly early on that he will find her, it's just how he chooses to move on after that.
Pretty damn dark for a movie with such a deceptively lighthearted/quirky trailer.
