so glad that you two are back!!! Home Free released "Something to Talk About" (before this video) which was actually Adam's first song/video with them. It really highlights his range and is really good. Adam Bastien (Bas-teen) actually played with Home Free before they went on the Sing Off and were 'country'. He was also a member of the Home Free standby group who toured for Home Free when they were on the Sing Off good reaction - thanks guys
Nice to see you boys again! Love the new Adam. We call him Bastien (pronounced Bass-teen) - it’s his last name. He has a really nice voice. Boys sounded great again and yes, Adam Rupp is a beast. Good one lads! Adam B used to be with HF a long time ago before Austin joined.

What a treat to find you here! I was looking for new reactions to this HF release, and I sure didn't expect one from you. I'm subscribed to you now and looking forward to your reviews.
I'm really happy with Adam Bastien (pronounced Bas-Teen). They're solving the name issue by calling him Bastien, just as Adam Chance is 'Chance.' I loved Austin's voice, but I think this guy's going to bring some new energy, and perhaps a new direction for the group. You need to see the introductory video for him, a cover of "Something to Talk About." It's much more upbeat: bluesy and fun.
Adam Bastein was in HF way back in the building years and was a regular fill in as they developed. He was in HF 2.0 😆 during the Sing Off. So an old friend who also has worked with Chris Rupp in 7th Ave. He and his husband Jerome Bell were a duo act and competed on the Voice. Another Fry has already commented on the first official release with Bastein something to talk about. You're gonna like it. Bastein is a MI boy so we may get a bunch of Country/ Motown 🎶 🎵 which isn't a bad thing. Austin had some emergency things come up and had to leave earlier than planned but he's doing well and is having his first solo performance in Nashville this? Weekend. Really happy for all of them. They will always be a family. SO GLAD YOU'RE BACK!!!!!!❤❤❤

Think Adam Bastien fits in, there's more energy, fun. Saw them in concert in Minnesota, the Veterans Fest in Hastings, then in Duluth, The guys seem to be less "stressed " they know Adam from the early days. Give him a chance, folks. Austin left cause he wanted to, the end. So they're moving forward

Any time you change the lineup of a group, it creates a new vibe. The choice of the fans is to either embrace the new or to reject something that they love just because it's not the same. When it comes to HF, I am choosing to embrace the new and wish everyone involved the absolute best.

Gosh, I didn't realize how much I missed you two! So glad you're back! I really appreciate all the tangents you go off on! Bastien's first video with Home Free was "Everybody's Talkin'" He sounded great, the other guys were having a blast, and the video was an answer to those fans who were so angry the Austin had gone off to forge a new path for himself. Hi guys. Adam B. Use to sing with Home Free. He left the group before Austin started. He then joined the group Chris Rupp started and when Austin decided to leave, Chris suggested that Adam B. try out for the spot and here we are with Adam B. back on the group.

Bastien spent 5 years singing with Chris Rupp after he left HF. 7th Ave Band. He filled in with HF prior to the Sing Off. the boys knew what they were getting with Bastien. Great choice.

I think Adam B fits in perfectly fine with the guys he brings a new energy and sound to the group but I love it can’t wait to hear and see what the future brings to the guys.

Missed you guys! Definitely check out Bastien's actual 'introduction' video ('Something to Talk About'). B has a really nice smooth, soulful tone so am holding out for Rob & Bastien (R&B) to do some R&B and hoping we get to see Chance up front. Switch things up. The guys have a newfound energy which is great to see. B has already written for the HF upcoming album. Based on something Rupp posted, my interest is piqued. 😊

I like the new Adam (Bastien pronounced bass-teen (adolescent fish)). It’s going to take some getting used to. I think, to my ears right now, he doesn’t have a distinctive sound like Austin does. I’m sure I’ll eventually be able to pick out his voice more easily as time goes on.

It's a very false assumption that we would cause havoc if we're truly happy 😂😂 That's something only people who have never been truly happy make up or do studies about. When we're truly happy we don't have to create chaos, we create more happiness without it. It's only when we're not actually happy that the mind, very literally, makes stuff up to have something to solve. It's one it's fun jobs, to solve things, to create things. Truly happy people know how to keep their mind occupied by creating and solving things that bring them more happiness. Truly happy people get sad, grieve, get frustrated, and all that, too. We just know that it's temporary and it will only last for a few seconds. That's how long the reaction lasts. After that, it's a response and responses are choices, and we get to choose to stay in that feeling or move on. Truly happy people know when they are ready to move on and they let it go. That's how it's supposed to work. Truly happy people communicate clearly, take full responsibility for their experiences, don't expect their partners to do things for them, unless it's their chosen dynamic, and they don't expect their partner to provide their happiness and joy. They do, however, expect their partner to provide their own happiness. Truly happy people support each other's endeavours even when they don't understand or agree with it. As a coach and mentor I teach people how to be truly happy. It IS what every single human being wants. It is our birth right, and it is who we all truly are inside. Truly happy people are truly happy no matter if they are alone or with others. They don't judge, themselves or others, and they move from their hearts, from love, in every move they make. They exist, I know, because I'm one of them, and we are growing in numbers. So, no, that assumption is not a truth. But, we all get to choose for ourselves. The problem is that our society doesn't get it, yet, avd all the studies and science done on the have used people who are not actually truly happy, which is why they've come to the conclusion and assumption that it's not the goal. Truly happy people know themselves, love themselves, respect and accept themselves, and they prioritise themselves, and from that place, they go out into the world and give love, respect, and acceptance to everyone else. ❤❤

Bastien actually auditioned for this spot that Austin got it in 2013. In retrospect, it probably worked out best for both of them as Austin made the big push for them to audition for the sing off again.
Many reactors miss the nuances of the song by getting tied up in the video.
The new Adam is Adam Bastien (pronounced Bass teen) and from what I understand, he was with them for a short while in their early days but left before they became well known.

Glad to see you back.. So sorry Matt, for what you went through. Take all the time you need. Not crazy about the new guy. I'm bad, I know but, his hair cut bothers me and I can't think of anything while looking at it..the back looks like a ducks tail. Sorry, I have to let him grow on me.
His style has to work for both Home Free and OneUp Duo / Bell Bastien, which are *very* different groups. I don't think he changed very much at first because he still had shows as half of Bell Bastien to do and no time to really explore a style that's going to work for both or buy a bunch of new clothes and shoes, and so on. That hairstyle (and the stache in Something to Talk About) is fairly popular in the LGBTQ+ community, so it makes sense in that context. He's not giving up on Bell Bastien, so there's going to have to be compromises, which may be the fans just not being so fussy about the guys' hair.
Glad your back and reviewing again. But, my own honest opinion is Im not a fan of the new talent. Its just me.
