I want to go to the masses. But I think baptism of desire is a heresy. Nowhere else to go for mass. If I still go. Would I be falling into a grave sin. For being in comunion with people and priest that believe in that heresy
You need to inform yourself better about how Catholic theology works. Read my article Baptism of Desire and Theological Principles: www.traditionalmass.org/images/articles/BaptDes-Proofed.pdf
Rev. Anthony Cekada I believe in baptism of desire but I heard you expand it’s definition to include non Catholics who die outside the church. Rather than reserve it to only the unbaptized catechumen or those who believe the essential mysteries of faith you allegedly expand it to those who don’t profess Christ. Is this true? The allegation came from MHFM.
Rev. Anthony Cekada so it’s false. Right? The reason I occasionally watch/read them is because Peter is pretty good at debating protestant heretics and has some really good apologetical work against the eastern “orthodox” schism. Also makes very good case for creationism. But I assume it’s a false claim that you believe pagans can get baptism of desire without professing the two essential mysteries of faith as the athanasious creed and tradition defines as necessary; right? And of course why also need to be in a state of Grace. But I suppose the allegation is false?

Heavenly Glorious Fr. Cekada! Thank you so much!

Check out the the hymn faith of our fathers. Composed by a catholic priest in the 1850’s. The French organ tradition is also beautiful.
