Kathak (Jalsaghar) | International Dance Day

Presenting a Kathak Dance Sequence to mark the occasion of International Dance Day from the movie Jalsaghar which has been picturized on noted Kathak exponent and actor choreographer Roshan Kumari
The concept of International Dance Day was introduced by the Dance Committee of International Theatre Institute in the year 1982 to celebrate 29th April as Dance Day every year to commemorate them who can see the value and importance of dance and reminding those who have still not recognised its importance as an art form
Dance has been my passion since childhood and Kathak has been a form which is the closest to my heart
So on this occasion I chose to perform a Kathak piece performed on screen my legendary Kathak dancer and one of my most favourite Roshan Kumari madam
