Good to see Muddy, She looks ready for the hunt. Must make you proud to have a Shooter Pup with such natural ability. Keep up the good work and be safe and have fun!
Have to say I learned a lot from your videos as well. This is my fourth hunting dog and I used a lot of your course. Two of my biggest take aways was clicker training (would never go back to not doing) and the second was the idea of using physical presence as pressure and to cue the dog as to the desired behavior. Place training to kennel. I could go on ( hot Lava etc) Awesome thanks so much.
I just got back from SD late last night. We were in the area between Watertown and Redfield and it seemed to us that bird numbers were down from last year. We saw several, but they seemed more leary and jumpy than we would expect from opening weekend birds. We saw probably more hens than roosters this time out. Got some great dog work out of my GSP, wish I could say the same about my shooting. Love your channel and miss listening to the YAWA podcast.
but sorry, I have 2 properties, one in rapid city, 57702, and another is Smithwick SD. 57782. 9 acres in Smithwick. Pheasant are plentiful, nice to see them running and flying.
Thank you for watching our video! We actually have an online training course available that shows you step by step how to train your puppy from 8 weeks to a year old. It’s broken up into easy to follow lessons that can be completed by older puppies and dogs too! Check it out here: www.standingstonekennels.com/courses

What age do you consider a young dog that is ready to hunt?
That’s a great question. Have you seen our video on the 3 prerequisites to take your dog hunting?
