    @paramorerandomness you could go for either the Pintail 43 with white heavy tension springs, or the Freeride 41 with rocker concave and bushing trucks. Both boards are great to learn on because they're stable. The Pintail is mostly for cruising and carving at lower speeds, and the Freeride is best for hills, higher speeds, slides, and even some freestyle.

  • @originalskateboards
    @originalskateboards  13 лет назад

    @mexican6497 the rocker concave is reversed camber, meant for sliding and some freestyle riding. The W concave keeps your feet locked in during higher speeds.

  • @originalskateboards
    @originalskateboards  13 лет назад

    @JTGKIDS take a look at the the torpedo 40. It's a good beginner board that is meant for cruising and carving, and also has a kick tail so you can do some freestyle as well. You may also be interested in the hybrid 35.

  • @originalskateboards
    @originalskateboards  13 лет назад

    @DoubleT9798 the rocker concave is reverse camber, so it pushes the trucks out and makes sliding easier and freestyle tricks a bit easier. The W concave keeps your feet locked into the board for stability while you're bombing hills.

  • @originalskateboards
    @originalskateboards  12 лет назад

    You can / could dance on either of those boards though neither are designed for dancing specifically.
    We usually don't recommend the Apex 40 for beginners, but only because it is a more expensive board. It actually works really well for learning and my girlfriend loved learning on her's (she did get my discount). If you have the money it's great, but then again the Freeride is great for learning too.
    I'd give the edge to the Apex 40 for dancing / freestyle tricks though for sure.

  • @originalskateboards
    @originalskateboards  13 лет назад

    @Jtlake17 it's best for flat land freestyle. With bushing trucks it can handle speeds up to 25 or 30 mph. I would suggest the Apex 40 if you're looking to do freestyle and freeriding for more stability.

  • @originalskateboards
    @originalskateboards  13 лет назад

    @kitecc our pintails are great cruiser boards, and they come in 4 different sizes. The Pintail 37 would be great for a campus because it's still small enough to pick up and go to class with.

  • @originalskateboards
    @originalskateboards  13 лет назад

    @Mrmax878 the freeride 38 with rocker concave would be a good size board for you and is also a great board for sliding, freestyle, higher speeds, cruising, and carving

  • @originalskateboards
    @originalskateboards  13 лет назад

    @hsaawesome3 a great beginner board that would be a good size for you would be the pintail 31. It's great for cruising and carving, and it's low enough to the ground and stable making pushing easy!

  • @originalskateboards
    @originalskateboards  12 лет назад

    Depends on your heigh, weight, terrain, and riding style. Check out the Pintails- they are in that price range and are great beginner boards. -Joel

  • @originalskateboards
    @originalskateboards  13 лет назад

    Check out the Apex 34! It's a good board for your size and it's great for cruising, carving, freestyle, and sliding since it's symmetrical shaped.

  • @originalskateboards
    @originalskateboards  13 лет назад

    @cudi503 either the Apex 37 or the Apex 40 with rocker concave if you're looking to do freestyle. Some of our favorite sliding wheels right now are the Abec 11 flashbacks

  • @originalskateboards
    @originalskateboards  13 лет назад

    The rocker concave is geared more towards freestyle since it is reversed camber and the kicks are taller. The double concave is meant more for freeriding and higher speeds.

  • @originalskateboards
    @originalskateboards  13 лет назад

    @djadayxD Hey! The Pintail 43 is made with 9 plys so it is a good cruiser board for you if that's what you're looking to do. If you want a bit more flex and something that will be easier to carve with, then you may want the pintail 40.

  • @originalskateboards
    @originalskateboards  12 лет назад

    For your height, I recommend going with the 41" for a wider stance. The 38" might feel too cramped for you. If you drop the trucks through the deck you'll be closer to the ground, making you more stable during higher speeds, but less responsive at lower speeds. Keeping the trucks top mounted is sometimes easier for sliding since the board is a bit more responsive, however, this means the board will be less stable.

  • @originalskateboards
    @originalskateboards  13 лет назад

    @iRawrDinsawr freeride 41 with rocker concave if you're looking to do mostly freeriding and some freestyle. If you're looking to do mostly freestyle then you may want to go for the Apex 37 or 40 since they have a carbon fiber reinforcement bar and are much stronger to handle freestyle riding.

  • @originalskateboards
    @originalskateboards  13 лет назад

    @Sultanaman23 the Freeride 38 is a good size for you, and the rocker will help you with sliding for sure.

  • @originalskateboards
    @originalskateboards  13 лет назад

    @shootLI wheels make a huge difference! You want a wheel that has a rounded edge, and usually a harder durometer, above 80a. A soft wheel tends to grip to the surface, making sliding difficult. A harder wheel will slide easier.

  • @originalskateboards
    @originalskateboards  13 лет назад

    The Apex 40 with rocker concave would be a good board for the type of riding you're looking to do!

  • @originalskateboards
    @originalskateboards  13 лет назад

    @Jtlake17 the Apex 37 would be great!! If you're planning on doing harder freestyle tricks then I suggest the Apex 37 over the 34 because it's more durable since it has a carbon reinforcement bar.

  • @originalskateboards
    @originalskateboards  12 лет назад

    Check out the Freeride 38s - they are smaller decks designed for shorter lighter riders. Should be good for sliding, and have kicks for doing some freestyle. That or check out the new Apex 37 or 37- they are composite decks, with carbon and PK nose guards. Super durable and great for freestyle. -Joel

    i liked this one better than pt 1. when watching longboarding i love seeing the 70's style flips where use of hands and stepping off the board is needed. a kickflip and shit is cool, and im sure more difficult on these boards than a standard type skateboard, but i love watching the surf style that Original usually features in their videos.
    not saying i wasnt impressed or entertained, its just pt. 1 felt more like every other skate video thats being made today.

    @4BlaBLuBDibLa4 The apex 37 is more because we its longer(meaning more material) and its a little bit stronger. I feel like the 34 is good for your size but if you want to grow with a board get the 37.

  • @originalskateboards
    @originalskateboards  13 лет назад

    @4BlaBLuBDibLa4 The Apex 34 is good for flat land cruising and freestyle riding. I wouldn't recommend it down hills. The Apex 37 is more durable since it has a carbon reinforcement bar, and can handle freestyle, as well as freeriding and smaller hills, and is great for cruising and carving.

    @sundog12100 on what deck do you want your trucks? i have an freeride 41 with bear grizzly 852 and they are amazing. You can turn around the hangar to get more stability for freeriding and bombing. and for the freestyle you turn it back around and you have a more freestyle truck

  • @sundog12100
    @sundog12100 13 лет назад

    @mostwanted192837465 I have an Apex 37. I'm thinking of getting the Apex 40 though. It's been suggested to get Paris 180's by most. Being able to flip the hangar sounds like a pretty sweet deal though. I don't do a lot of bombing really, and i'm getting Orangataing Nipple Bushings, so I need a pretty carvable truck, and I know the nipples only fit in certain trucks too

    I have a very important question that has been killing me for weeks.Why does Original choose to ride Bear trucks as opposed to Paris or Randal?I've been on the truck hunt for weeks and can't figure out the best truck for me.I'd like to say I freeride and freestyle pretty evenly,and want to continue to be able to do both pretty evenly (i don't want to buy a truck designed for just freeride or just freestyle).My top options now are gullwing charger II, paris 180, or bear181 52 degree base plate
