Seems a good, practical idea. Great suggestion, thanks. I've just ordered a tv bracket for my Yale alarm box. £3.95 from an ebay seller. Just need to hunt around for a suitable backing board now. I think I have some twinwall polystyrene somewhere which should fit the bill.
So now the burglar can remove the siren and take it away from the property without disturbing the tamper switch which is there precisely to stop that..?

The question was how to change the batteries in the out side siren box, Not how to fix the battery box
