Allie if no one has said this - it’s my biggest wish you’d publish a cookbook. I’d buy one for myself and one for all the homesteaders I know. You are a QUEEN and I am so grateful to you for these videos!!!
You have become one of my favorite channels. I love your content, it’s always usable and never complicated. But to add to that, you are hilarious. You come across as the type of woman I’d be friends with and go home with my face hurting and sides cramping from laughing so hard. Thank you for taking your time to do these. I’ve enjoyed every one of your recipes I’ve tried. They are so easy to follow, but even easier to change things up to make them perfect for my family. Your natural makeup/skin care/ cleaning product series remains one of my favorites. Always so much information packed into your videos. I learn something almost every time, and I’m 53 years old with plenty of experience. And Shawn adds so much to your videos, I’m glad he supports your venture and helps you so much. My husband is the same way, we are lucky women. Thank you! Can’t wait to try these too!
I agree 100%. This is the only channel that is teaching a no nonsense approach to family needs and preparation with a laid back don’t take yourself so serious!! I love it
Just found them a few months ago and just keep binge watching . I’ve learned so much and Ali and Shawn are so adorable and down to earth and I just love them and their content!
I am going to give this one a try! I have tried several "bulk" muffin mix and have yet to find one I am really happy with. i like that your recipe has powered milk in it. That may be the difference maker! Thank you for being you! I love how real you continue to live and bake 'real' all the while you are in front of a camera.
My MIL live across the street from a candy company we get our food grade buckets for free 5 gallon and 3 gallon they just clean them and put them outside with a free sign that says don't forget to get a lid! Look into you local places!
Omg I made these chocolate muffins I actually used Aldi brand cocoa and chocolate chips.I did add 1Tbs espresso powder. I baked 400 degrees 10 minutes and then turned down 350 for 10 minutes. Perfect Thank you. BTW the poppy seeds recipe says sesame seed 😂
Oh yes now I can have this made ahead for my granddaughter and we can bake together..love the basic series..im learning alot and boy do I appreciate u ally for doing these videos for us all..u have a wonderful day..❤❤

OMG! Ali, this mix is SO good.... and easy. I made a batch this morning. Used 2 bananas mashed up and 1/2 cup of the white mini chocolate chips that were in the bargain bin from Azure a month or 2 ago. They were so good! My fussy grandson approved, and that is saying something! This recipe is a keeper ❤❤❤
Thank you. I am new to your channel and it has become a favorite of mine. It started with your Azure Haul and love the taste tests. I have been purchasing for five years now and love seeing the hauls and trying new things. Thank you for just being real and fun to watch. Looking forward to trying out this recipe and looking forward to more of the back to basics. Thank you again and God Bless!
I love you allie. I love everything you do and I love your sweet voice and I love your personality you are just the bomb thank you so very much for sharing this
I had gotten 2 of those clear oil jars/bottles but since I am alone now and only cooking for myself, I wasn't using the oils fast enough and they would go rancid. So I found some dark green ones - problem solved!! I also do not put a lot of oil in them at a time. Thanks for all the recipes & tips!! 😊
Hi love your channel. Just spent 4 days of binge watching your channel and trying to get caught up to all your videos. Got soooo many ideas. Thanks. Is it possible you have a recipe for raisin tea biscuits. Have a great day.
4 days! I’d be so tired of me by now 😂🤣😂 just kidding. Glad you found us. You are the second person today to ask for the same thing. I’ll have to do some research and testing. Let me see what I can do
I love all of the homemade instant mixes. My daughter and son in law are buying their first house. I think my housewarming gift will be to help outfit the kitchen with what they need and make a bunch of mixes and freezer meals.
We did a cleaning basket for ours when they moved out. They loved it. Shelf stable mixes is pretty smart as well. My kid is still learning to cook and a easy helper would be perfect.
@LittleHillHomesteadGa Right. I remember the first meal my daughter ever made completely by herself was a hamburger helper. Those are great for the kids to get to cook on their own.
hubby and i both love the cake mix recipe... since we're 2 seniors and dont eat that many sweets that often... and also im GF SF and hubby is SF... i made the cake mix and 1/2'd the recipe and made him some SF muffins outta the cake mix and he LOVED them... it made 10 cupcakes from 1/2 a recipe... cant wait to make this bulk recipe... i LOVE the bulk mix recipes as they save me time ...since im healing broken vertebraes... and cant stand in kitchen that long ..at a time ! thank you keep these kind of videos coming !
THIS is wonderful to have on hand. I love this recipe! Boy, Ali, for somebody that wants to slow down, you're pretty bad at it 🤣🤣 I love all these back to basics you are teaching me. Love, love, love 'em. Whatever you've got up your sleeve, I think I'll like. I'm trying to get away from all the convenience foods with stuff I can't pronounce and get healthier. I even get a kick out of the videos your hubby does, you guys seem so happy cherish that always
Interesting salad dressings not just Italian and ranch those have been done to death but also some new ones please, that's what I'd like to see thanks Alli and Shawn!
Love this thanks Allie! I make my own chocolate extract and I bake all of my cakes from scratch. Where my chocolate cake calls for vanilla, I sub for chocolate extract and part of the cocoa powder I sub for black cocoa powder and it’s seriously amazing 😊
Hey Allie. I love blueberry muffins well let me be honest. I love anything sweet. 😂😂😂. I want to get 5 gal buckets to hold my supplies as well. But we will see if I will get there. I am slowly growing. Can I have 2 muffins and a glass of milk. See I am so greedy. 😂😂
I recently purchased an oil jar like that and absolutely LOVE it!!!!!!! 😍 It was on sale and I paid $4.99 so thought if it was a fail no biggy. But, honestly that little thing is quickly becoming one of my favorites!! Thank you SO MUCH for sharing your bulk muffin mix.....I have been looking for a good one to add to my pantry. Adding this to my to-do list for this week.😊
This recipe is so awesome. Your great at making our lives easier. I love the cocoa powder from Azure as well as their mini choc chips. Your so hilarious and I appreciate you.. It's hard for me to pick a favorite video because they have all be fantastic. Thanks...Sherri-Idaho
Things I would like to see; or maybe you've done them and I've missed it: Homemade Ranch Dressing, Orange Chicken & Fried Rice, Homemade Poptarts, Homemade Gnocchi (or any pasta really). Thank you! You have become one of my absolute FAVORITE channels!!!
aww, thank you! Glad you found us. Here is ranch ruclips.net/video/l-poGSCHykE/видео.htmlsi=xEkVYEiTZaDzSE_P here is our pasta as well ruclips.net/video/Bvmp9wPXGkI/видео.htmlsi=vLWYLVMCztDNaGtz I will have an orange chicken in the near future and poptarts too!
Love this mix in will be making it up. I have the same oil sprayer/pourer lol. But I got mine off of Temu for $2.00, for those that need to save a little money lol. I love using it with my air Fryer when i need a small coating of oil on something. 😊❤
I love your channel. When your video hits my feed, it is time for coffee and a break to watch it. Thank you for your new series of Back to Basics. Again, thank you.
I know I am thinking way in advance for Christmas 2025... but for the back to basics series, I think you should do a from scratch eggnog. I am sure it would be way better than store bought. Plus, your whipped cream recipe would be a great addition to the nog!
Ali! I love all of your recipes! I just added the chocolate chips to my next Azure drop. These look so delicious! I have one of those jars and I am going to put my Avacado oil in it! Thanks again for all you do to help us! I bet some of your chocolate syrup drizzled over this would be delicious also! Hugs from south Alabama ❤️
@ yes we did! Thank you for asking! I was praying that we didn’t loose electricity, I can handle almost anything as long as we have electricity, lol! How about ya’ll??? I saw where your lights went out, but I didn’t know for how long they were out!
I can't wait to try this! I wish you had a blog so we could print the recipes. But, until then I will be doing a lot of writing. Thank you for sharing❤
Hello . You asked which one is my favorite so far and it's those chocolate chocolate chip muffins you just made. They look so good. Have a good day dear.
I absolutly love your channel i learn so much i love the reciepes im not sure you know what shake n bake is but i would love it if you could do something like that for chicken and pork thank you thanks Ali and Shawn
I didnt realize I could grind my dried ginger .. did a batch your right way better..also my mother in law never tried fresh ground cinamon .. she was shocked how it tastes so much better.. she thought I added sugar... but all natural.. I also toasted the sticks carefully .. soooooo gooood .. I'm gonna try to do the bourbon soaked peppercorns in the future ... the ginger trick thanks so much !!!!😊
Can’t wait to make this, have already made so many of your recipes. I do have one question in the video you said 1 tablespoon of cinnamon but in the recipe it says 1 teaspoon either is fine with me as I love cinnamon.
@ glad to be of help. I was already writing down the ingredients because I plan to make it as soon as possible. You’re doing such an amazing job to help us out. Thanks for all you do.
I just want to say I love ur videos but I do have a question I was gifted a jar of oatmeal cookie mix and i also have a sourdough starter and I was wondering if u know Ive looked and looked but I can find anywhere how to use both together to make cookies since it’s a jar mix so maybe u can help but if not that’s ok as well but god bless u ❤
Going to definitely making this. One question is there anyway you can make your recipes printable? A few other sites do this and it is so easy to print and not have to go back to the video and get the recipe. Thank you.
Thank you for the Muffin Mix, another to add to my kitchen. I tried to see if the oil sprayer was on your Amazon list but it was not. I know Amazon has several of these but they do no not get all good ratings. Which brand did you purchase. I would love to add a few to my kitchen for the different oils that I use regularly. Thanks!
Hi there! Watching you crack those eggs and put the shells aside led me to a question. Do you compost? Have you done a video on composting and I missed it? Thanks! Have a happy day! ❤
We do! We have a counter top composter that lives on our porch and a small bucket that once it fills up we add to the garden. It isn't the traditional method.
I don't know if you made steak rub could you please make it I really like your tutorial they are so helpful it just my husband and me so this muffin mix will last longer thank you
Great info! Those double chocolate muffins look so flippin’ good I can’t stand it. Yum! Ps Azure Standard has a chocolate extract that adds so much to chocolate baked goods. Girl, you have to try it. I made a chocolate mayonnaise cake last week and used the extract and it’s next level yum! And if you’ve never had a chocolate mayonnaise cake you are missing out. I can send you my recipe if you need it and you can make it on your channel. Top it with chocolate buttercream frosting and you will think you died and went to heaven.
I ran onto a basic muffin mix recently and we really enjoyed it filled with dried fruit and nuts. I think I am going to pre-mix a big jar of that recipe without powdered milk. To each individual batch, I’ll add egg, oil, and milk. You are inspiring me to start creating some of my own basics!!
Hey Sister👋🏻 Just made biscuits. I made 25 & put 13 in ziplock bags into the freezer. My son puts them in the microwave and has fresh biscuits. I’m thinking I could do the same with these muffins. Then he could make hot muffins. Thank you 🙏🏻 ❤Have a great day ❤🙏🏻❤️
Good morning! Question for you, is it possible to make this mix without the milk powder then when I mix it up I can use oat milk in it. I can't do dairy but would love to have a muffin mix on the shelf. Thanks 😊
I have a question regarding the buttermilk powder, on the one you’ve recommended in the past it comes in the little can, it needs to refrigerate it after you open it so I’m wondering if this is still OK to put in this shelf stable mix?
Good morning from NJ. Personally, I wouldn't use fresh milled flour. It loses it's 'nourishing/health' benefits after milling which is why it should be milled immediately before using.
I would really like to see what is attached to that tail that passes back and forth behind you. And, with all that chocolate, is it still a muffin? Or is it a cupcake? Or, GASP, can it pass as either?
I heard the 50# bags of sugar Azure sells is finer. I don’t know as I am very happy with the 25# bags and have not had any issues. You may want to look into the 50# bags.

Isn’t it great when that happens?!?!
They look delicious! I made the sour cream over the weekend….omg it’s delicious. Thanks 💞
I love all of the homemade instant mixes. My daughter and son in law are buying their first house. I think my housewarming gift will be to help outfit the kitchen with what they need and make a bunch of mixes and freezer meals.

Love this option. So far, your cake mix has been the bomb! Didn’t have any powdered milk, so just used regular milk when cooking up the mix. You rock!

Coming soon!
Can’t wait to make this, have already made so many of your recipes. I do have one question in the video you said 1 tablespoon of cinnamon but in the recipe it says 1 teaspoon either is fine with me as I love cinnamon.
It is supposed to be tablespoon. I got it fixed. Glad you caught that. Thanks!

I have a recipe and haven't filmed it yet. I will make sure it is added to the list soon.
@LittleHillHomesteadGa thank you
I make muffins with white chocolate chips and frozen or fresh raspberries. This mix would be perfect for quick treats.
OMG!!!! That is my type of muffin. I need to grab more raspberries and try that.
Hmm, let me think on that. I’m the type to try adding some to the mix and maybe an aggnro see what happens
Do you have a recipe for old fashioned Tea Cakes? My mom used to make them and we ate them with Northern beans. Sooo good!
I don't. I am sorry! What are they like?
@ it’s a cross between a miniature cake and a cookie. It originated in Britain and they ate them with tea.
Going to definitely making this. One question is there anyway you can make your recipes printable? A few other sites do this and it is so easy to print and not have to go back to the video and get the recipe. Thank you.
We’re working on adding that option soon.
Happy to hear you’re working on that. Thank you so much😊
Thank you for the Muffin Mix, another to add to my kitchen. I tried to see if the oil sprayer was on your Amazon list but it was not. I know Amazon has several of these but they do no not get all good ratings. Which brand did you purchase. I would love to add a few to my kitchen for the different oils that I use regularly. Thanks!
It isn't? I will add it right now! Here is the link a.co/d/0kOgpWR
I don't know if you made steak rub could you please make it I really like your tutorial they are so helpful it just my husband and me so this muffin mix will last longer thank you
I use montreal or John Henry which is in this video ruclips.net/video/fNatlQ1cHrU/видео.htmlsi=197rqx7-whAyQgqO
@LittleHillHomesteadGa thank you
I would love to know where you got that whisk ❤
I'm pretty sure it's a Amish whisk
It’s a danish dough whisk. We’ve had it for years amzn.to/4gfDzkt
It looked very different to me.
I went back and looked. I was thinking of the first whisk you used to mix the muffin mix with.
Great info! Those double chocolate muffins look so flippin’ good I can’t stand it. Yum!
Ps
Azure Standard has a chocolate extract that adds so much to chocolate baked goods.
I need that recipe! I’ve never heard of it. Yum!!! And I’ll check out the extract.
Hmm, think we could make the extract?!?! It pretty easy ingrediants.
@@LittleHillHomesteadGa make the extract! Heck yeah!
@@LittleHillHomesteadGa I’ll get you that recipe. You will love it.
@@LittleHillHomesteadGa. I do make the extract. Now I want to try the mayo cake.
Can you try it with fresh milled
Make it without flour and add fresh milled when you make each batch.
Good morning 😊
Good morning! 😊
Yes!!!! I love that.
Hey Sister👋🏻 Just made biscuits. I made 25 & put 13 in ziplock bags into the freezer. My son puts them in the microwave and has fresh biscuits. I’m thinking I could do the same with these muffins. Then he could make hot muffins. Thank you 🙏🏻 ❤Have a great day ❤🙏🏻❤️
you can with the muffin and we use to do cupcakes for the kids so all we had to do was frost them really quick for a treat.
@ ❤️
Good morning! Question for you, is it possible to make this mix without the milk powder then when I mix it up I can use oat milk in it. I can't do dairy but would love to have a muffin mix on the shelf. Thanks 😊
You can!
There is a Mennonite community near montazuma ga in Macon city, about 2 hrs away from turin.
I haven't been down there yet, but I did read about it. Have you been?
Is your can a covered coffee can?
It is. I got it at a thrift store but use it for whatever. I think it’s called airscapes.
If you don't.
Have any powdered milk?Could you use regular milk and lou of water when making them
Yes you can.
Do you have a base for cornbread

Can i make bran muffins .
Not with this recipe, sorry! I will have a recipe for those soon.
I have misplaced my recipe for Salisbury steak with brown gravy. This is an older recipe. I'd appreciate if you could make this. Thanks
That's a great idea! I'll add it to my list.
About the paint buckets, are they food safe?
They will usually say on them if they are.
Scones please! And does the brand of flour make a difference?
I use all purpose and prefer unbleached but any is fine. Here is our scone recipe ruclips.net/video/zjVNwm69REI/видео.htmlsi=zQfjXkB7Kl1FW819 enjoy 😉
I have a question regarding the buttermilk powder, on the one you’ve recommended in the past it comes in the little can, it needs to refrigerate it after you open it so I’m wondering if this is still OK to put in this shelf stable mix?
It’s better to use the one from Azure, Bobs red mill that are shelf stable. I have used that one and it clumps but still worked.
where did u get the black container you store this mix in ? did u say this container was glass?
It’s from a thrift store and I got it for $2. It’s for coffee beans but Amazon has them amzn.to/4gpb304
We have two tails. We’ll be show them in a video soon. The white tail is Ruger and the black tail is Remington. And yes. Breakfast and dessert in one.
@@LittleHillHomesteadGa Ruger Hauer and Remington Steele?
I heard the 50# bags of sugar Azure sells is finer. I don’t know as I am very happy with the 25# bags and have not had any issues. You may want to look into the 50# bags.
Thanks for the info.
How about homemade dog treats and food?
