I was so happy to find this video. Jerry you are so kind and wonderful to Linda. She got nervous there for a bit but you just kept calm and reassured her that she is doing fantastic. What a great couple. Loved yet another video of Linda & Jerry, no surprise there.
Yeah Linda, great job. Even though it is windy, bumpy and all the things you want to say about the ride, it is always enjoyable to feel the reality of the day and this creates a better feel like I am there. So, it doesn't matter! Thanks for the day ride. Katie
Well I made the whole trip, it was fun. I almost went to sleep once , but Jerry yelled something another and woke me up. Lol. Linda is a good leader. God bless, ride safety.
Yep, you’re recognizable. The Mrs and I saw you guys dining outside at The Bluefin with another couple(2 weeks ago now). We didn’t want to interrupt your lunch. Great to see you in person!
I just love your show and Linda’s little laugh others are trying to copy your show but just not as nice as your show It’s like friends chatting. Xoxoxo
Hi Jerry and Linda, great video. Thanks for sharing. Love seeing all the interesting scenery there. i am just wondering if that was Skip Smith in the motor home. Skip and Sue were planning a trip around then. Wind noise can be a real problem when I video. Unfortunately, I can't connect an external mike to my video cameras. The golf cart trails there are absolutely awesome. I especially like the tunnels. Anyway, take care and all the very best. Robert.
You all are so fun!!! Linda you did a beautiful job! Jerry thanks for watching out for Linda! You two are quite a celebrity around the villages! Everyone loves you both!!! Sending hugs to Gizmo👏👏👍👍
You folks are genuine celebrities of the best kind. I was a tad nervous when I heard the shouting , but just for a moment. What fun. Maybe one day I’ll be shouting from the curb “hey Jerry and Linda. I made it”.
Scenic, but some roads too busy, feels unnerving to me. Nice trip. It is so nice to see the friendly people that your videos are helping to bring to the Villages. Jeanne
Thanks for the lovely bike ride. I look forward to your videos each week. The video about the C47 and all the heroes that jumped that day was gratifying and inspiring. Keep the videos coming. You are helping so many people realize that there are great retirement options that can boost the quality of their lives. We need more helpful people like you two. You two are adorable the way you interact.
So we have been here a week, we walked the nature trail in fenney , went to a driveway concert, had dinner at Nancy Lopez country club, danced one night at the Spanish springs town center, went out and looked at golf carts, tried to buy a hot tub, ( sold out) , took the ebike out a few days and explored,, going to see Kathleen Kane sing , and that's just the first week, I gotta stop going places and finish unpacking ... then find the cameras and get back to making videos
Subscribed, never fail to leave thumbs up and notification bell has been turned on. Always so enjoy your content. Does Linda take a "happy" vitamin? Lol... She's always so chipper and her smile is the best! Curious, what brand/model e bikes did you go with and are you happy with your choice? We're looking at buying a pair and would find your experience most helpful. Btw, we're on our way from Clearwater, so we'll see you when we get there. Lol... Thanks "guys"! Lol... Yes, this includes little Gizmo. ;-)
Austin, we bought Ride1UP E-bikes and couldn't be happier with them. Here is a link with our ID on it… if you use it and purchase, we get a small commission. Thank you. ride1up.com/?wpam_id=213
Awesome fun bicycle ride, Linda & Jerry! The Queen song keeps popping in my head while watching this video: 🎶 "Bicycle, bicycle, I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride my bike... 🎶" The round-about for golf carts and bikes is a challenge. We enjoyed the bike ride with you; thank you for posting. Cheers & Kibbles 🍻🐕
Does the Villages have any AM radio stations or just FM? Radio reception is one of my interests. Some of my long distance radio and TV reception is included on my RUclips channel.
@@JERRYANDLINDA Thanks. i will have to keep a close watch on 640kHz, just in the faint hope of hearing WVLG here in Melbourne Australia. You never know, I might get lucky. Years ago I heard 1180kHz VOA Radio Marti in Marathon FL on one occasion. 102.7MHz is completely blocked here by a local FM station, 3RRR.
As you say around 47:00, the wildlife(birds we’re talking about) at 1am in The Villages is loud. The Mrs and I sleep with the windows open, and were treated to a hoot owl sounding off right outside our window. We loved it!
Great job Jerry & Linda. Only 8 more winters till we get there. 🤣 Will treat you guys to a nice dinner at Blue Fish when we get there. Have a great weekend. 😀
Love the video!! That’s where we were this pst March looking in the Village of St Catherine. Coming back soon to buy!!! Hope to meet you both and Gizmo soon!!!
So fun to watch you guys go out and about and meeting new people! Would love to see an update on your landscaping, was watching older videos and would love to see a house tour!! ❤️
Do the e-bikes come in the trike style? Yes biking on the busy roads would scare me too! Is there some kind of communication system you can get so you can talk to each other?
Hey guys... if you all have not contacted my friend Holly the president of the Sumter Landing Bicycle Club... I know if you mention me or any other club members she would likely be excited to do several fun, educational bike safety videos... the reason I bring this up is that the Club is the best resource, group of wide range of levels of riders and educational safety practice that I have seen anywhere in the country... I will be moving permanently down there in July, and look forward to growing the bike club and it’s interaction with those that drive in The Villages. Look forward to touching base with you guys... see ya when we get there ;)
I might want to mention one more thing - is to say that u are both incredible at what you add to all the viewers experience of The Villages -- That is is really all about - being happy, being healthy and being together experiencing just that ;)
We have Ride1UP bikes. Jerry has the 700 ST, and Linda has the 500 ST. ST stands for step through. It makes getting on and off much easier, and at stop signs or stop lights it is much easier to put your feet on the ground. Here is a link to Ride1UP . If you buy from this exact link we get a smalle commission. Thank you so much. ride1up.com/?wpam_id=213
😊 Watching & listening while I colored my hair, cleaned bathroom, wiped down floors .. I think you’re having more FUN than me! 😂 You passed some Apartments .. have you checked those out? I’m 69 single & now living in Apt in CO ... missing palm trees 🌴 ❤️ watching your videos & I’m totally jealous 😂 Enjoy!!
Those apartments are the Lofts of Brownwood. They opened July, 2020. There is more information about them on The Villages web site. On Skip Smith's RUclips Channel, his wife Sue and her friend Deb toured the Lofts about 6 months ago. The Lofts look very nice, but not inexpensive. Location, location, location.
We live in the county on 20 acres. When we had our lake cabin something I noticed was hearing the noise from all the neighbors mowing their lawns. (Something we were not used to at home except for the couple hours that we mow.) Of course each neighbor mowed on a different day, Lol! I wondered if you hear a lot of that in the Villages, as the landscape is so beautifully taken care of?
I am wondering if you have seen the recent movie about The Villages wear four different people's lives have changed some for the better some for the worst some with a long long transition it's pretty good and takes a real life look at seniors lives whether married or single
It's not a movie about The Villages as much as it is about 4 people living in The Villages and the issues they face growing older. The movie could have been filmed in any 55+ community in the U.S.
Hey Jerry and Linda another great video. Just like the couple you ran into when in town when they recognized the both or you. The reason I am going for my Lifestyle visit is because of the both of you. I am even binge watching for the 2nd time some of your old videos that I have seen so I can take notes to plan for my visit. As you say in your Videos Hope to see you when we get there. Another 5 Star Video. Look for email from me later today.
The bicyclist must have felt intimidated having a woman passing him on his bike!! LOL. Jerry reminds me of my late husband as he would do the “color commentary” and I gave “factual comments”. It’s a nice balance of personalities between the two of you for marriage and videos... I enjoy both of you on your videos. I’m so happy you’re able to enjoy life together and share your adventures with us living in the north. God’s blessings to you both.
Nice ride...far fewer bikes than I would expect down there...the wind, noise etc. enhances the video...the cars are a bit nerve wracking...I think I would stick to the bike/cart trails...but options for everyone. Jerry makes a good point about so many not letting physical problems get in their way for exercise. Thanks.QUESTION..WHAT % OF that ride do you do manual peddling and what % is power assisted?
Darren, that is a tough one. We usually don't leave the bikes out. Whenever possible we take them inside where we are going. Sometimes that is not practical, so we try to put them where we can actually visually see them or one of us will stay outside with the bikes.
Love the content! Do you know if E-bikes can be accommodated for disabilities? For example, I have cerebral palsy and would need handbrakes and other controls all on the right hand side.
