Schubert automates final packaging process for hair care products in PET bottles

When it came time to automate their packaging process, Dr. Kurt Wolff and the currently responsible manager opted for Schubert as a partner for flexible packaging of its scalp and hair care products. The cartons are packed in ‘standing’ configurations of 6 units. The unusual shape of the Alpecin bottle, however, calls for the individual orientation of the product so that it can be packaged in one or more rows. In a single-pick process, the products are not placed directly in the packaging, but first pre-grouped on the TLM Transmodul’s format plate. After the product groups are formed, they are placed in the previously erected carton.
