√ Phil Oakey. Human League used little hand held Casio synths on many tracks for both their bass line and rhythm track. I was in the UK to witness the backlash of 'musicians' against the rise of the synthesizer, forbidding Human League from joining the Musician's union, ranting on about them taking away the jobs of 'professional' musicians. Much of John Foxx's work elaborated upon the DIY, in your garage simplicity and revolt that was part of punk in the mid-1970s. From my perspective, punk and thereafter were a severe reaction to the profound degradation of music that was Disco. Simply escaping from the dull repeating single thud beat of Disco was a revolution. It could not have been more wonderful to those of us appalled by what corporations had done to music, the nausea induction of their 'Power Pop' garbage. - - We require another music revolution right now, a revival or ART over financial gaming.

He would have to be for the price, I am not sure because I am American. Doesn't 60 quid sound about right for a volca? Korg also has the minlogue and other synths along that line that are relatively affordable too.
