I don’t understand when people complain about the houses being too opulent or the people too rich! Why watch? No one should apologize for having a beautiful home. I will never afford this lifestyle but I so love the inspiration that I can adapt to my own home whether it be from a beautiful home like this one or from a quirky NY apartment. Thanks Homeworthy and thank you to this gracious homeowner for sharing her home with us.

It’s just fun, little ideas that we can use. Maybe it’s at a different level but it’s fun to try to create some things that are similar but way less expensive. My mom used to look in store windows at little girls dresses and sketch what she saw and buy similar patterns and fabric to make beautiful clothes for me. Sometimes it would be made out of old curtain fabric but I thought it was amazing.

Nothing is more pleasing to me than traditional interiors. The mix of antiques, porcelain,art and painted furniture is music to my ears.
Todays designs fall flat in that respect.
This home is breathtaking at every turn. I also love the use of pairs. It gives a space instant symmetry where there is none. The dining room took my breath away.

I feel this video barely scratched the surface of this lovely custom built home. Her element of this tour was very good. I was totally Gobsmacked by the size of this home and the beautiful grounds. I read some comments here but H/W...just remember, you can't please all the people all of the time, just some of the people some of the time. My vote, it was a pleasing video. Thank you once again.

I grew up in a very big house. As an adult, I never wanted to own or live in another big house. But, I must say. Her house is absolutely beautiful ❤

Lovely home and it’s design and decor is wonderful. Fabulous color palette throughout the residence. Please move the cameras slower and linger longer on the details and furniture of the rooms. I don’t need to constantly see the owner no matter how well she describes an item/room. Show more of the home not the homeowner. Thank you for showing this marvelous residence.

I agree about lingering over the nice details. I screenshot a lot of the nice views for inspiration later. But I often have to go back three or four times to try to catch the Right image because the camera was only there for one or two seconds and zipped right past a fabulous detail. It would greatly improve your presentation were you to slow down. Thank You.
Wow, what a beautiful home. The way you talk about your objects collected over time and your joy of building your home to your and your husband’s liking remind me of my parents’ home and the joy and pride they had for their home. They were big collectors English and Dutch furniture. I have a few beautiful pieces inherited in my little modest cottage home. Congratulations 👏🏽❤
There are so many beautiful spaces in her home, and it shows me what else is possible that I might never have seen. I especially love how much she used the raspberry color in many rooms either on the walls or in furniture. It's such a pretty color and full of life!

Fabulous home! It's hard to believe it is a new house. It looks like it has been around for hundreds of years. This is all due to decor. It's not matchy-matchy, it looks collected, which I really like.

Lovely, but... it's an inconvenient shape. I've been doing house plans since i was 8 years old. I'M 70 now and have built houses in 3 different countries and still am planning extensions. I ADORE houses. I also built a long house in Italy( I'M Italian by the way]. But this style creates a tremendous amount of walking from A to B. When i was 16 i drew a plan of my dream house ,which i actually found in Southern Spain. It's 90 percent like the plan j drew when i was 16. It's PERFECTION!!! Its a square design with an enclosed central courtyard ( patio Andaluz in Spain). All rooms are off this patio and only a few steps are needed to go from one room to another,bedrooms included. I loathe staircases,but our house does have what i call the tower. There are 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms there for our guests . As one gets older staircases are hazards and extremely inconvenient . Well that's my take on the perfect house plan.
I had to stop watching in the middle, because of an appointment, but I will watch the rest later. First I want to say that I feel sorry for the loss of her mother in law. But also I feel the urge to say, that this lady seems to me to be so beautiful inside and out and interesting and so is her home! Everything is esthetically pleasing and beautiful!!!! I love to watch your videos and get inspiration, although at the moment I can only afford thrifted things or furniture from eBay. But my thoughts are like hers to built a beautiful and harmonius home and I do love antiques. Thanks for this lovely home tour, all the best to the lady and her family and god bless. What a lovely tour by such a lovely lady of her lovely home. I really relate to her style and creation of the layers used in her home. I also collect Delft 0 which was started for me by my grandmother. One of the highlights of our visit to Europe was going through several of the last remaining Delft ceramic studio factories. Learning how the process goes is one of the best experiences I have had and highly recommend it for everyone that loves blue and white. I am glad to learn that good design choices that are beloved in her home, have not faded with time, but become endeared by the family. That is meaningful and what makes the heart of the home ever more special.

A really beautiful and warm home in the English country house style, and it shows what can be done when obvious wealth and beautiful inherited pieces are paired with very good taste and a great sense of color and pattern. I only wish that the grounds were less formulaic and designed with a sensitivity towards fostering wildlife, birds, bees and all those creatures that are so endangered now. Thank you for a very lovely presentation that really spoke to me.

It seems to me that what made the tour so utterly delightful and interesting were the stories she told about the objects in the house and the transformation of the house over the years. It's a beautiful house with an even more beautiful owner. ;-)

This Mansion is very, very beautiful. The stencil trees on the wall’s entrance is uniquely beautiful. The display of the living rooms furnitures are examples of good quality. I enjoy watching this designer decorations enthusiasts.
