I love this. I was having the worst day. Came to bed and I decided to look up the patron saint of anger couldn't find what I was looking for so I looked up who was the saint who had anger issues and came across Saint Frances de Sales. This was the second video I listened to but I came back to it to share it with a specific friend who has been plagued by troubles and I know this can help her. I'm commenting because I felt an internal transformation by listing to different videos about the rules for life from St Frances and in case someone else is having the type of day I just came out of hopefully this message can help you I believe I just found a good recipe to help me through my days of darkness depression or frustration.
I’m the narrator and I needed to listen to this as a listener and not a speaker. I believe there is a cloak of sadness from Satan attempting to cover the world. We must not allow it! St Francis DeSales pray for us!
Summary ======== -Patience -Repel the suggestions of sadnes-continue with our duties -Sing spiritual songs -Employ oneself to external occupation. Note:Take a walk in beautiful places -Perform exterior acts of piety -Discipline -Prayer is the sovereign redemy
I will pray for you, Andrew, that God will reveal His goodness to you, His goodness which surrounds you and permeates you through and through, and His great Love for you.
Sadness refers to a natural emotion that is generally short lived. If sadness persists then it should be referred to as depression. Depression is the correct clinical term that I believe best describes what St Francis de Sales is speaking of.
1:30 "meditation on the passion of Jesus Christ vanished his sadness" Doesn't make sense to me. Doesn't change the fact that one could commit mortal sin at any moment.
Thank you for all the priests in the world.
Blessings and appreciation from Sydney Australia .
Jesus i trust in you
Dearest Lord Jesus, only the thought of You and your perfect love for me consoles my constant sadness. Prayer to You is the consolation for me.
My thoughts and prayers are with you
