@@kenotherep yeah! One of my Patreons pointed that out too! I love that that's a layered joke! It helps that IKEA is Swedish and Shoocahru is from Denmark, right by Sweden! 😅
For game context for the end of the song, Caelid is a plagued bog land and the Scarlet Rot is a magical disease corrupting the land and everyone and everything in it. "Milli" is Millicent, an NPC inflicted with the disease who you help there.
OMG 10/10 perfect video intro. High energy, perfectly pronounced, and seamless self promotional plug, and perfect transition. Ian you found your mojo! Okay time for the rest of the video...
Shoocharu is a potentially reason why I came across this song and transcendental cha cha cha in my recommendation, thanks to his animations for other people. These are bangers!
Not sure if anyone had mentioned, but the lyrics were put into the videos description Also, the line at the end is "Milli (Millicent) and her scarlet rot".
I'm guessing one of the videos will be the album-closing "Simple Plot of Silent Hill" but I *desperately hope* that the other will be "Mario à la Kart" because that song is really Going the Distance and I love it.
@@DexSinistral-i4z Mario A La Kart is probably my favorite on the album...but it needs more vibraslap and Arin both agreeing and then immediately disagreeing with himself a la John McCrea...
I think the one after Krobus is going to be Sonic's Last Ring, judging by the teaser at the end of that video. I wish it was Mario à la Kart too because that's my favorite off the album
I just assumed they didn't use any samples in this song so it was very interesting to learn that its majority made up of them! The "little brown jug" singer sounds like arin to me so i didn't even bat an eye that that was a classic song Interesting stuff!
The first thing I did when I saw the vid was search for your reaction. And when it finally drops, you bless us with forty whole minutes! To quote Coach Z, “Good Jorb.”
This is so groovy I wouldn’t mind listening to an instrumental version of it. It’s aIso very subtle and PG… I’m going to have a hard time erasing some of the imagery. I might be very pansexual but I’d never frick a skillet 😂. Still, the song is my favourite of them yet. Btw, the Ikea Kärlekssäng is a real (compound) word meaning a love bed.
I had never tried to do the comma and period thing, only works while paused and genuinely does it frame by frame, and I hardly noticed at first until I just held it down to skip a bunch of frames at once, neat
I'd highly recommend the Sbassbear album "Fever Dream Radio" for a listen, even if you don't decide to make a video out of it. If you've heard their remixes of the Grumps' antics, it's basically that but with a lot more of their own original material.
Oh... that's why. I had a feeling most of these songs were sampled because I heard an ad that had the exact beat as the upcoming Nintendo games song. Still pretty cool songs though
24:00 That's a pretty long explanation of rhyming with homophones. Now I wonder how long would your video be, if you were explaining Dan Bull's The Crew and The Crew 2 raps. They only use homophones.
For the period/comma thing, sometimes (especially with animated videos) sequential frames are identical, so you have to hit it a bunch of times to move any noticeable amount. RUclips also has to seek to the frame, which means there's a small delay before the frame loads. The video also has to have focus for it to work, so if you click off to recording software for example, that might be the issue. It's helpful if you're trying to display a specific moment to comment on, but just take it back as much as you want. Just trying to maybe explain why those controls didn't seem to work, there's nothing wrong with hearing some parts again, the song is a bop, weird as it is.
@@forecaster71 i usually don't check the description, mostly because a) i don't want things spoiled and b) i can't do it while watching the video, as it turns the screen recorder off when I exit full screen. Sorry!
