I bought a smart pir wifi sensor, it was important to me that the batteries should be as large as possible, so that I don't have to constantly think and check if they are empty, that's why I chose this model, and its additional advantage is that it also has a USB connector for external power, so an external power supply or power bank can be connected, which guarantees that I won't have to worry about batteries for a long time, and the software option that notifies me when the battery is low so that it can be replaced in time also contributes to this. I used a smart sensor that connects via WiFi to the TUYA or SMART LIFE application, it does not need a hub and can be installed on a mobile phone or tablet.
The mailbox is made of metal and the distance from the wifi router is 20 meters.
