The intent of this video was not to offend anyone or tell individuals what to purchase. the point is for anyone who actually is interested in acquiring something more than just fan gear to wear at a game. Rather, to help others find something they can have for a long time vs a throwaway. i also have an inexpensive jersey i wear to games. but i also have something special that is not for every day hot dog stains. to each their own.
The problem is if you wear your jersey to the game, no one cares if it's real or fake. If someone can't afford to blow $275 on a real jersey but can get a knockoff for $50 then that's fine. I was at a baseball game in Detroit a few years ago. The guy next to me was wearing an official Tigers jersey with Miguel Cabrera's name and number on it. He even got Cabrera to sign it. So what happens? During the game a hot dog vendor came along and the guy wearing the jersey bought a hot dog. The vendor went to put mustard on the hot dog. When he squeezed the mustard bottle, he missed and put mustard all over the guys nice new expensive jersey. I'll bet right about then, they guy wished he was wearing a cheap knock off. And let's not forget, hockey jerseys are easily the most expensive.
Knockoff jerseys are illegal and there is absolutely no reason to ever buy one. If cost is a concern, you could easily go onto sideline swap, ebay, SportsK, or any other number of sites and find an authentic licensed Reebok Premier/Edge jersey or Adidas Adizero jersey for LESS than $60, which is actually cheaper than what a lot of these Chinese sellers market theirs for. There is a reason that bootlegging is ILLEGAL, and any argument made that supports purchasing a fake is flawed. The quality of the bootlegs is terrible, the sellers profit off of stolen intellectual property (a federal crime), and the labor they use is, more likely than not, extremely questionable from a moral position. Bottom line, never opt for a bootleg/knockoff jersey.

I'm with you on that, all and all it's a jersey you can wear to cheer for your team.
