This worked for me (the fourth method). And it was very easy to use but I couldn't use the free version and had to pay 69 dollars. I got back a lot of deleted text messages a whole year from 2016. But others were missing and were probably over written and not able to retrieve. Thanks for your video very helpful.

If you have iTunes or iCloud backup, you can restore them from the backup. Or you can try iOS Data Recovery (www.appgeeker.com/ios-data-recovery.html) to deep scan your device to see if your previous data is still there. If it is, you can restore them.
