A lot of singers 'lose' their accents when they sing. I am Aussie and I sing with an American accent, however I find that occasionally I'll switch to my actual accent, depending on the occasion. But I'm pretty sure most singers (not so much American singers though) sing with a different accent; at least on albums.
Yeah I'm surprised how much it comes out in this recording. In some other acoustics of Let It Land (like the Tennessee PAC video) you can't even hear her accent during the song.
