On the topic of Masamune's lost katana and how swords were confiscated post WWII, made me think of my wife's family heirlooms. A set of Daisho (Katana & wakizashi) that were forged by a swordsmith known as Muramasa during the 16th Century. My wife's ancestors were able to hide the katana & wakizashi during the American occupation of Japan, and these heirlooms are now back proudly on display in the main family residence.
I remember hearing about the museum heist years ago, if I remember correctly on the museum website they have instructions on how to care for the paintings that were stolen. So that the robbers or whoever has them now knows how to care for them.
It would be fascinating to find it, but on a human level we should really just let her rest in peace wherever she is and not raid her tomb like we did to so many others.

Any research on the art would show they're classified as missing so the heirs would have to keep them and keep them hidden, and expect *their* heirs to do the same in perpetuity. I'm betting they'll come to light within a century.

That should tell you enough about how finding a person’s resting place usually goes. Many times people claim it (for fame or actual belief) and it keeps being false. Curators and police who deal with art know this: The ones stolen were on order. Someone in charge put together a list of collectors and the pieces from this museum that they wanted, this museum being targeted because of a security with huge holes in its system. then the job is done and the specific pieces collected. The collectors obtained their piece, paid for it and locked it away. For these people its not about hanging it in the dining room, its about just secretly owning it. This kind of collection passes thru generations, the pieces just stay hidden.

Greeks are olive skinned, not pure white, but they aren't dark skinned with After Ivan features. I'm half Cherokee, and have light dark skin, but in the summer I get really dark, but still considered white.
