Hi, Folks, from what I've seen so far, I think these instruction videos are terrific. The trainer's voice is clear and pleasant and she covers all the things we need to know at this point. I couldn't have asked for better. Well done!
Hi Doodliers, this is my first time here viewing these videos, wow it's so exciting and amazing. I feel like a child again as I watch the videos evolve before my eyes. This is the best purchase I've made in a while. I can't wait to get started.
Part of the beauty of Doodly is the fact that you can do your voice overs and music using other tools and then import them into Doodly. This gives you more freedom with narration and audio.
This was so far the best video and the rest was already awesome. Learned about a number of features such as fade out with sound, how to shorten the sound clip, where to adjust the volume, how to add my own voice over and pan/zoom. I love the pan option, it makes the video more alive!
Same with sounds. Allow most recent to float to top of list OR allow us to delete those we don't like or at least move them to an unused folder so the list can get manageable.
I didn't know you could add multiple audio tracks! Cool! The idea of layering in the sound effects will really enhance our videos. PS - Love the veterinary example!
thank for the useful video, very helpful, kindly advise if I can change the language, I tried to change it, but after I wrote the test didn't appear. thanks
I've noticed this issue in a number of the Doodly tutorials: The low music in the background of the narrator's voice seems to be chopping in and out. If true, this happens because they have microphone settings wrong and they are playing the music live as they speak. They likely have the microphone set to remove background noise, which causes the quieter music to be cut off any time they stop speaking. Best is to leave the microphone alone, but add a separate music track after your full narration has been recorded (and possibly edited). You can also simply set the microphone to NOT remove background noise (in fact, turn off ALL special effects of you do this). You may have low background hum form your computer, of other low background noise, but the music added later will almost always cover this well enough. I used to have this issue with my own videos, and struggled to figure out what screwed up the beautiful background music I was trying to record with...
We appreciate the feedback. We'll have this forwarded to the team. For future feedback and ideas, feel free to also check our request page here www.doodly.com/requests Thank you!
I agree that the tutorials are wonderful. HOWEVER, I wish there were also written instructions. I learn best from the tutorials, but I don't necessarily learn it all the first time through. When I'm looking for something I think I saw in a tutorial, I don't know which one to look in or where it might be in the proper video. I'm very frustrated, spending tons of time trying to find the information.
How can you preview a portion of the sequence on timeline, rather than the whole thing? say if I am working on a particular episode of the video. voiceover indeed is a great feature, although sound quality on my laptop was a bit low and there were some glitch sounds (so it would not work to use it in the final video, although can come in handy for a quick experiment to figure out what can work). in my case I liked what I've recorded so would be handy to use it in the project...
Good learning video. I'm still learning to create my first video. Had trouble with it reading all my words, is there a certain amount of words that the screen can contain without it cutting off?
Ideally you would like to add in short texts so that you don't lose the interest of people watching your videos. If you need help, please email us at support@doodly.com. We're always happy to help a fellow Doodler :)
I have a question. Do you recommend recording the voiceover first and then creating the doddle to that so I'm not having to fit the voice over into the timing off the doodle?
I have a big problem when I use doodly. I cant cut and slide audios as any other program. IT would be so usefull to easy cut and move audio tracks or part of them. Becouse sometimes i need to split word 1 sec to finish a draw. I was using 2 times the same audio track traying to ajust their duration. I know i can send a ticket to doodly support as suggestion. But my main language is not english and its a bit dificult to explain my problem. If someone find interesting my suggestion meavy can explain it on a ticket. Thanks wonderfull commonuty and doodly team!

Is it possible to create different voice overs for each scene? I just want to make sure that what i say is relevant to the scene,I am trying to create a short tutorial on 'banter' in the workplace, but I am struggling to add my voice over and to time it accurately to each scene.
Hi, I have several files of assets, characters, etc... is there a simple way to catalogue each image and print a booklet so i can look at Mr. Bashful, etc...
How do you change the font color? For example, I want to change the "Veterinarian Service" to red instead of the default black? I did click on the little gear of the text box and got to the Asset Settings. I went in and played around with the Hex number as well as the R G B only to have the color revert back to the default black.
Hi! Are you making sure to hit the apply button after selecting a color? If this is still not working, kindly contact support@doodly.com so our agents can investigate this problem for you right away. Thank you!

Kindly make sure to first use the search option to check if there is an existing post for your feature request to avoid duplicates. Thank you!
suggestion for a new tool: scissor tool to trim the end of a scene... I've looked for something and doesn't seem to exist... would be a great addition. Apparently no one responds to the comments...
Each time I attempt to add a voiceover when I go to preview my voice is very choppy. I thought it was my microphone, so I purchased a new one, and I am still having the same issue. Is there a recording software you can recommend to avoid this issue? I am using a PC with Windows 10
You can try recording from a third party application like Audacity and the upload your audio there. However, we would also recommend reaching out to our support team (support@doodly.com) so they can take a look at the issue you're having so we can try and fix it as well.
Hi doodly, watching this video and it occurred to me that the panning and zoom tool needs more instruction for other users as I know how to do all these functions but you only show zoom out here! Some of the people might want to zoom in and then pan across a scene then zoom out or something else! I have shown all of these in my tutorials I made and some of the newer members might find it awkward to use at first! other than that it is fine!
Hi! We do appreciate the feedback. Rest assured that we will let our creators know so we can improve on the content we release in the future. Thank you!
@Poultryfarm Guide you can copy the same audio section two or three times acccording to your needs and use the time line and drag the first one to before the part or parts you dont want then add the second audio copy taking off all the front of the audio until you reach the end of the piece you don't want and so on to what you require!
When i play my video on Doodly it is very slow. When i upload to RUclips i can select the frame persecond rate. If i record my voice message, will the timing of my message be off when i upload it to RUclips?
The speed when you play your videos in Doodly should not change once exported. You can email us at support@doodly.com so we can look into this further. Thank you!
You can add the same music twice, crop and then adjust the audio accordingly. I recommend using the fade in and out option as well. If you need further assistance, you can also email support@doodly.com
The info in this video was good, I think. I kept getting distracted by the bass in the background, though. I thought maybe it wasn't in the video, but every time I paused the video, the bass stopped, so it was definitely in the video. I hope it's not there in the next video. It's sad that the bass is the thing that stayed with me the most from this video.
The images initially come in black and white. You can however upload your own images even colored ones if you prefer to make videos in color or we also have an addon that get you access to the colored version of the preloaded images.

Glad it was helpful!
Very impressive...Love the zoom and pan features as well as adding music and the voice-over and adjusting to length is so easy.
Glad you liked it!
Wonderful video! Thanks again, Pamela!

Great video.
Please, how can one cut an audio section in the vioce over he didn't want?
Thanks
Excellent video, i did not know all the new features related to zooming, music and voiceover... will be in my next Doodly Video!
Go for it :)
Very cool stuff. Thank you. And... I cannot believe how fast you type!
Thank you too!
Great audio features. Looking forward to using the camera functions. Thanks
Have fun using them for your videos!
The music and voice overs are so simple to add!

Glad to hear that. Thank you!
How to export to PowerPoint?
