So i need to get something straight.. I see a lot of people complaining that it's going to be a wreckfest, it's too crowded etc. But yet most still complain if the races are a snooze fest. We finally might get the chance to see a tight race, drivers door slamming occasionally, tempers flaring type of race besides just Bristol. What gives???? This might be what the sport needs really. Something to keep the fans on edge.. That's what racing is.. 🔥 I hope it doesn't disappoint...
Michael Yachnis Wrecks are boring, and they take away from the race. I have been watching for a long time, so even seeing a car flipping is "meh" to me, but seeing some tight racing still excites me.
Absolutely, no high technology, poor aerodynamics (compared to indycar or f1), twice the weight, small tires, manual H gearbox, more powerful than an indycar, no discussion, a NASCAR stock car is one of the hardest race cars in road courses, period, I feel really anxious about this race, is something special to have a different layout in the NASCAR Cup schedule.
@CheetahLynx Yup pretty spot on, also the gearing ratio could be a factor, may be topping out way before the turn. In iRacing that was a problem we were having when we tested there.
Do you guys see how high on two wheels these cars get when they hit the blue curbs? I feel like someone is going to get clipped going down the backstretch, spin backwards, clip the blue curb hop over it and start tumbling down the backstretch into the oncoming traffic of cars coming out of that chicane. It will be a disaster...
Personally I have always hated road course races, they generally suck. Charlotte and Atlanta are the two closest tracks to me, guess I'm not heading back to Charlotte again.....damn this sucks.

This track will get me back into Nascar. This looks like its going to be awesome.
It will be interesting to see how 40 cars will interact on that track. Some areas look like it will be super tight.
Lots of speed for a smaller road course with 40 cars on it. Think we are going to see some big time wrecks.

Nascar road course racing is the most pure talent based form of racing, no tcs, no abs, just pure driver control over everything.
Just like the entire of porsche cup, GTE, F1 and Indy car right... They're all as pure as each other.

INDYCAR does not use TCS or ABS, and has a spec chassis just like NASCAR. Don’t know where you’re getting that from.

Looks like a scaled down version of Daytona road course. This is gonna be good... combine Daytona road course with a smaller track...Hell Yeah!!!!
This race (1st chase) should be taking place at the Indianapolis (road course) Motor Speedway and under the lights.

Should run the Daytona road course or go to mid-ohio in Lexington Ohio...not this!
