There are other songs where all 3 sing a great deal in falsetto, as well - "Stayin' Alive" is probably the most famous one. If you want to see Maurice singing the falsetto part in a live version of "Nights On Broadway," watch this: ruclips.net/video/F2SDf42guB4/видео.html , Maurice starts the falsetto around minute 4:00 in the clip. In 1975 when they were recording Nights on Broadway for the album "Main Course". Record Producer Arif Mardin wanted to add something different in the song, similar to how The Beatles did with their scream in the early 1960's songs. Barry gave a go to scream in tune during the chorus. He found he could and that is when Barry's falsetto began in the song Nights on Broadway, and as we know the rest is history.
As others have already said, The Bee Gees had a lot of hits singing without the falsetto. They just remade themselves a couple of times to stay popular and keep up with the types of music being played at the time. I love a lot of their earlier songs without Barry's falsetto.

This recording is a live performance of Too Much Heaven. They released the song in late 1978 and dedicated it to a UNICEF fund raiser .... The Music for UNICEF Concert: A Gift of Song. It was a benefit concert of popular music held in the United Nations General Assembly in New York City on January 9, 1979. It was intended to raise money for UNICEF world hunger programs and to mark the beginning of the International Year of the Child. The concert was videotaped and broadcast the following day on NBC in the U.S. and around the world. The Bee Gees gave UNICEF rights to all royalties from the song. It's raised about $13 Million for UNICEF thus far.
Their range, harmony and song writing skills are second to none. The Brothers Brilliant never disappoint. They donated all the proceeds from this song to UNICEF. They are all cute, but Barry is preposterously handsome.

They were already big in Australia where they grew up, and England where they took off. Doing the soundtrack to Saturday Night Fever the movie took them to another level and became huge in the US. Rest is history
What's in a name (below) is right. The Bee Gees were a success right from the start. They began singing as kids (you can see some of their really early appearances on black&white tv here on RUclips). So they began singing in the late 50s and continued right through the early 2000s. They mastered a lot of different styles. They began using the falsettos in the early 70s as they explored R&B and then disco. They are so versatile they can do anything. Best harmonies, best song writers, just the best, period. Thanks for reacting to them! Keep exploring their endless catalog. You'll be glad you did.
In the late 70's, the Bee Gees topped the Billboard charts and won a Grammy singing music from the movie Saturday Night Fever, which starred John Travolta. I sang a song from the movie, 'How Deep Is Your Love,' and won my high school talent show. I usually don't like when people bring race into things, but I feel it's worthy to note I'm black, and my high school was 95% black. Winning the talent show with a Bee Gees song, in a mostly black school let me know how good the Bee Gees really are.
This hit when i was in high school, after Saturday night fever they blew up! I cant believe i did NOT like them back then! I was rock and roll and these guys were just not my style. Fortunately i have matured (in some ways) and i see what massive talents they were and such beautiful voices!
They had twenty nine top forty songs and rank number seven of all time in album sales. They also accomplished something truly rare in fact perhaps the only group to do so….in four different decades they have a number one album. My goodness when I think of Robins voice without any falsetto singing a very big hit from….wow…the sixties. Give it a listen….Massachusetts
They already had several platinum records before they started using the falsetto sound. The falsetto was just the natural evolution of a talented group exploring their abilities.
Love, love, love the Bee Gees. I am a black female, 67 yrs old, and grew up with them. (A bit lengthy, but a must read.) The Bees Gees: (from left to right) Robin, Barry and Maurice (pronounced Morris) Maurice (Dec 22, 1949 - Jan. 12, 2003 - passed away - twisted intestines and heart problems. Married with 2 children.) Robin (Dec. 22, 1949 - May 20, 2012 - Cancer. Married with 4 children.) Maurice and Robin were fraternal twins. Barry (the middle man) said, 'I'm the last man standing.' He was 76 on September 1, 2022, which is also the 52nd wedding anniversary with Linda. They have 5 adult children and 7 grandchildren. Barry's voice is a bit more mellow since he is older, but he continues to perform to sellout crowds! Andy Gibb, the youngest brother, had his own successful career. His brothers wrote his songs. He was 12 yrs younger than Barry. He and Barry looked so much alike, that they could had been twins! Andy passed away in 1988, at the age of 30 (one daughter.) Barry stated that Andy lived the 'LA lifestyle' involving drugs, and he had heart problems. The brothers wrote all of his songs. On a side note, the first born is their sister, Lesley, who turned 78, January 12, 2022. Maurice passed away on the same day as her 58th birthday. 😪Lesley didn't have an interest to be in the limelight, but she can sing. They wrote all of their songs and songs for other singers, which they recorded after the songs were released by the other singers. At one time, they had 5 songs in the top ten. Another time, they had 4 songs in the top 5 that they wrote for others. The brothers have a VERY IMPRESSIVE catalogue of songs! I recommend the following songs: (I know it's a lot of songs, but I think you'll like them.) I'm quite sure their earlier songs were mentioned in the other comments. Staying Alive ruclips.net/video/fNFzfwLM72c/видео.html How Deep Is Your Love? ruclips.net/video/MGzPlbwwnLY/видео.html Closer Than Close ruclips.net/video/m6XIdjEHLRs/видео.html One ruclips.net/video/KRUeMgzOCCo/видео.html You Win Again ruclips.net/video/KZY9oYSSjFI/видео.html Spirits (Having Flown) ruclips.net/video/WWBFpoErDCM/видео.html Nights on Broadway ruclips.net/video/5wRM-t7wvF0/видео.html (said to be first song with falsetto voice of Barry) Body Guard ruclips.net/video/Fx5XwIKCs3o/видео.html Emotion (Destiny's Child did a cover on this, but IMO Samantha Sang (original) is MUCH better. ruclips.net/video/b_wTZjo9azk/видео.html When Barry was about 18 months, he reached onto a table and a pot of hot tea spilled on his chest and arms. You can see light blotches and his chest is shiny. His mother said he almost died and would not talk for almost 2 years. Enjoy the songs. Barry also did a song with Michael Jackson, but it was never released. A little research says Barry first used his falsetto voice on the 1975s hit: 'Nights on Broadway.' There is ONLY one song that they recorded and there is a video. The song is 'Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?' *1961) It was written by Carole King, who is another excellent songwriter. The song's first recording was by the Shirelles, a girl group out of New Jersey.
They are singing with their normal voices. Too Much Heaven...is sang in falsetto. This is a legendary group one of the greatest of all-time. The most successful family group in my opinion...besides the Jacksons. The Bee Gees though wrote many songs for other artists, and write and produce their own music.
The Bee Gees is one of the best groups ever people don't realize they have written songs for many famous groups that people don't even know of. Their voices are one of a kind again if you listen to their other songs their voices are unheard of. Some of the new music today is just garbage they were real artists
I READ THAT THE THREE WERE IN A ROOM PLAYING AROUND, and a producer overheard the falsetto voices and said something to the effect, sing using that falsetto voice on this song...the rest is history.
They are no longer a group. Maurice passed away in 2003 and Robin passed away in 2012. They had a younger brother named Andy that was really talented as well. He passed away way back in 1988 he was only 30 years old. The only remaining BG is Barry. He just had his 76th birthday. They are my all-time favorite group I’m glad that you are listening to them :-)
@Sunny & Glo You know sadly, Barry Gibb the lead singer of the Bee Gees is the only brother still alive. The youngest brother Andy Gibb not in the group, but a great solo artist in his own right passed away first in 1988. Maurice Gibb passed away in 2003 then his fraternal twin brother Robin Gibb passed away in 2012 leaving only Barry and his older sister Lesley Gibb. Check out younger brother Andy Gibb and a great song called ( Don't Throw It All Away ), released in 1978 for his Shadow Dancing Album. This song was co-written by his brother Barry Gibb & Blue Weaver and recorded by the Bee Gess in 1977. The brothers actually gave Andy the song for his 1978 album and later released their similar version of the song in 1979 for their greatest hits album
Many of us oldsters preferred their "struggling" 🤣period (despite all their charting hits). Check out "Words", "I've Got To Get A Message To You", "How Can You Mend A Broken Heart", "I Started A Joke", "Massachusetts" or a number of other hits prior to their disco phase.
Absolutely wrong. They had a great career and many top 10 and also top 1 hits with their normal voice. Making the song Nights on broadway, their producer wanted a high screem and asked them to try it. Barry tried and his falsetto was born. Many people wanted, that they do more with this voice and so they wrote songs for this. They wrote over 1000 songs and most of them are with their normal voice. They produced 39 albums and only a few with falsetto!!!! They are 3 brothers, the fourth brother , being 12 years younger had a solo career and died young, at the age of 30. Barry, the lead in the middle here is still alive, having his 76 birthday on 1. september. Their career reached over 4 decades they are in the hall of fame and Sir Barry is with Sir Paul Mc Cartny (Beatles) in the guiness book of world records as the best songwriters ever in music history!!! Please react to to love somebody 1967, the song was covered more than 160 ! ua fromJanis Joplin, Tom Jones, Kim Carnes. The first Nr, 1 single in the USA was How can you mend a broken heart 1971. long before the "falsetto songs"!
Barry Gibb co-wrote an amazing movie called “Hawks.” Timothy Dalton was in it right before his first James Bond movie. So he was at the height of his tall, dark and handsome good looks!😊
Their father suggested Barry sing this wwy. Maurice wrote the song, the smaller guy on the right, he died in the eatly 2000s in Miami, Barry the older brother is still alive with his wife of 50 years in Miami, then the other taller twin on the left who lived in England passed in the early 2010s of cancer. Some of their children here in Florida still sing etc.
They were so good as a band their album Saturday Night Fever is in the National Archives as a standard in the Disco genre its the only album and only 6 other songs are in the archives DO you ever wonder what the band was thinking when they were recording this
Barry is the only one alive….HBO or Showtime (sorry can’t remember which)had a documentary about the BeesGees…very well done and a more than interesting look into their careers. I highly recommend. It even discusses that voice transformation you mentioned and how it came about.
Greetings my friends!!....You are the right person to make this amazing reaction video and give us your opinion about this incredible singer...In 2017, the music world was shocked by the bursting onto the scene of a 22-year-old singer named Dimash Kudaibergen, who performed on the famous Chinese competition show for professional singers called “The Singer”... It was just it was necessary for this young man to make his first appearance, making a cover of one of the most difficult songs in the world, a famous French composition called "S.O.S. D'un Terrien En Détresse", to be considered from that moment on as the best singer in the entire planet....No one in the musical field had ever seen a human being, being able to reach vocal ranges above 7 octaves and several semitones, that is, all 88 keys of a digital piano, which reaches a little more than 7 octaves and as if that weren't enough, sing the more than 12 languages...Since then all kinds of experts (Vocal coachs, singers, musicians, analysts, singing teachers, youtubers, reactors, etc.) have dedicated themselves to reviewing their presentations to try to understand how someone can sing this way...The incredible thing is that that presentation in China was in 2017 but what Dimash has done in these 5 years is to further improve his wide vocal range, which is currently practically above of the 8 octaves... The Covid pandemic stopped his concerts worldwide, all with tickets sold in just seconds, via the internet, but at the same time it ended up catapulting him to the top of popularity worldwide...Anyway, since I think you are one of those reactors who have not yet met this impressive singer, here is the link of that presentation in China in 2017, with the song S.O.S. and I would like you to mention my name as the person who recommended him to you...You have to be prepared because your channel will explode with an avalanche of views, comments and new subscribers....I leave you one more recent video than the others, so it does not have the same number of views as the previous ones, which have millions of views, but it is a more complete video, with an intro, subtitles in several languages and with the improved quality of audio and sound....ruclips.net/video/bDX3FhmyNac/видео.html

Please react to How deep is your love by the BEEGEES thanks
They had huge success earlier in their career !! Check out their songs ! Words ! Run to me ! Gotta get a message to you ! Massachusetts ! So many more
Goosebumps every time!
so much depth and subtlety to their music
This song is even more amazing because all proceeds went to charity. So sad that out of four brothers Barry is the only one left.
Barry Gibb is the oldest of 4 brothers but the others have all died. They were singing harmony as children.
They had 6 number one hits in a row 😮
What's in a name (below) is right. The Bee Gees were a success right from the start. They began singing as kids (you can see some of their really early appearances on black&white tv here on RUclips). So they began singing in the late 50s and continued right through the early 2000s. They mastered a lot of different styles. They began using the falsettos in the early 70s as they explored R&B and then disco. They are so versatile they can do anything. Best harmonies, best song writers, just the best, period. Thanks for reacting to them! Keep exploring their endless catalog. You'll be glad you did.
Feature Hotel California, by the Eagles. Best the ever did.
Lyrics and harmonies always beautiful. I love all Robin's solosxx
They sold over 200 million albums and wrote over 1000 songs that were sung by all the best female vocalists.
Queen love of my life and your my best friend
ABBA dancing queen
They already had several platinum records before they started using the falsetto sound. The falsetto was just the natural evolution of a talented group exploring their abilities.
I watched their documentary this morning. It was sooo good!
I love them even more than before🧡💛💛
What documentary?😳

When Barry was about 18 months, he reached onto a table and a pot of hot tea spilled on his chest and arms. You can see light blotches and his chest is shiny. His mother said he almost died and would not talk for almost 2 years. Enjoy the songs. Barry also did a song with Michael Jackson, but it was never released. A little research says Barry first used his falsetto voice on the 1975s hit: 'Nights on Broadway.'
There is ONLY one song that they recorded and there is a video.
A harmonia nas vozes dos irmãos Gibbs é fantástico!👋👋👋💪🇧🇷 é minha banda do coração❤❤❤ amoooooooo!!😍
They are no longer a group. Maurice passed away in 2003 and Robin passed away in 2012. They had a younger brother named Andy that was really talented as well. He passed away way back in 1988 he was only 30 years old. The only remaining BG is Barry. He just had his 76th birthday. They are my all-time favorite group I’m glad that you are listening to them :-)
Exactly. Definitely one of my all time favorite groups.
Love your channel just came across it amazing 🥰🥰🥰
They actually had a very successful career in the late 60s
THE BEST SONG EVER.
Barry can slide in and out of his normal tone and falsetto with ease.
Robin looks and sound divine
Just found your channel & loved your reaction😎!! Keep Bee Gees songs coming & you'll do well👍!
Most older folks love everything they did.
@@Dusk1962 I'm one of those older folks! 😅
Recorded LIVE; brilliant
Love the way you just let video play and listen. Perfect. Then you react. All reaction should do the same. Love it💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝
Absolutely wrong.
Que voz linda é a canção mas ainda ❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊
Beautiful song
I found your Channel looking for Bee Gees reactions! Barry Gibb is the only Brother still alive!
Barry Gibb co-wrote an amazing movie called “Hawks.”
Timothy Dalton was in it right before his first James Bond movie. So he was at the height of his tall, dark and handsome good looks!😊
"Childhood Days" from that film is incredible!
So many good memories
My first lps were the soundtrack to Saturday night fever.
Barry is the only surviving member and is the oldest. Watching Saturday Night Fever IS A MUST
They were so good as a band their album Saturday Night Fever is in the National Archives as a standard in the Disco genre its the only album and only 6 other songs are in the archives
DO you ever wonder what the band was thinking when they were recording this
Hello from the northwest US. Wonderful review. I am a new subscriber and look forward to your future endeavors. 😊
Wow, those voices! I first thought its females singing 👏
They had three platinum albums before Saturday Night Fever Soundtrack.
Barry is the only one left. He lost all three of his brothers. I believe he has one sister too.
Barry is the only one alive….HBO or Showtime (sorry can’t remember which)had a documentary about the BeesGees…very well done and a more than interesting look into their careers. I highly recommend. It even discusses that voice transformation you mentioned and how it came about.
Perfection ❣️
Best video, so clear
thanks for putting the big screen
The Covid pandemic stopped his concerts worldwide, all with tickets sold in just seconds, via the internet, but at the same time it ended up catapulting him to the top of popularity worldwide...Anyway, since I think you are one of those reactors who have not yet met this impressive singer, here is the link of that presentation in China in 2017, with the song S.O.S. and I would like you to mention my name as the person who recommended him to you...You have to be prepared because your channel will explode with an avalanche of views, comments and new subscribers....I leave you one more recent video than the others, so it does not have the same number of views as the previous ones, which have millions of views, but it is a more complete video, with an intro, subtitles in several languages and with the improved quality of audio and sound....ruclips.net/video/bDX3FhmyNac/видео.html
they were genius
The only brother that is still alive is Barry Gibb. The one in the center. It was a beautiful sound.
Barry the lead vocalist is still alive unfortunately the twins Robin 2012 and Maurice 2003 have gone on the sing in the heavenly Choir (R.I.P.) their younger brother Andy was a great vocalist as well he passed in 1988 of complications of drug abuse... they collectively have a nice catalog of music!
And no there's only onr Bee Gee left Barry who lives in Miami.
Maurice and Robin passed away years ago.
They were already success in 60s
Barry es el mortal màs divino que existe sobre la faz de la tierra, su carita perfecta y àngelical lo hizo y hace único en el mundo. En cúanto màs lo veo más me enamoro de él. Barry mi eterno amor.
💞💞💞😘🥰🤩😍💞💞💞
I saw them live.
You should do more reaction on the Bee Gees. Try "More Than A Woman "
There was a fourth brother Andy in the group but he died tragically at a young age. The only one alive today is Barry.
The lead singer Barry is the only one alive.
So sad, they are not a group. Barry, the lead singer lost 3 brothers, Andy who was amazing, but not in this group, ( sang on his own) later Robin, then Maurice. They were the very best ever! Barry is still alive. Loved them!
And Barry has a home in Nashville, Tennessee.
