AAOO sounds like something you type into your high score table for an arcade game because you can't think of anything to put in at the time. 10/10 perfect name.
Nice progress! You can in blender select your mesh than ctrl select your charachter's mesh, go into weight paint and press weight>transfer weights> by name (in the popup that shows, often in the bottom left of the screen). Your solution is also very nice butI think you may then be forced to design your clothes around the places you made joints.
Thanks for the info, ill try it out with blender next time, but i tried something like this in Maya and it wasn't very precise so i had to do it manually, as in the video :)
Saw the first video a month ago and I've been waiting for this one. Looking great! I see you have someone doing the music for the videos... if you get to the point to start looking for an original soundtrack for the game, I specialize in medieval fantasy and/or orchestral music and would LOVE to work on this game since it looks so cool. You can find some of my work on my channel, but the best place to see more is the link to my demo reel and bio on my channel description. Keep up the great work!
Awesome. I actually have an old track that I think could work really well as a theme song depending on your preference. Can you share your email so I can send it over?@@ibrabdo
thanks :) maya used to be the go to for 3d animation, althought i used it for modeling, although nowdays im using it because im familiar with it, in the ime of blender 😁
search this on youtube "I cant believe this was made with godot" someone is making a really cool looking game but yeah i understand what you mean I havnt touched 3D yet so im not too sure@@ibrabdo
As an animator, I'm sure you already agree with me here, but the animations you downloaded and retargeted to your own model are floaty, stiff and unattractive, so I'm really hoping you are able to use them as a base but improve upon them dramatically with your preexisting skill set!
Mistakes are the portals of discovery. Good luck in your journey!
Thanks 😊 really appreciated

Awesome work!!!! but I have a question, for video game design what makes you use Maya over other softwares?
thanks :) maya used to be the go to for 3d animation, althought i used it for modeling, although nowdays im using it because im familiar with it, in the ime of blender 😁

Hopefully that's the plan, especially for the main locomotion animations, but for now I'm using this one to test the game mechanics 😀
