When I saw the trailer of Arkham Origins and heard that it's about Black Mask and his hired assassins I thought finally there is something new in it but then it turned out to be Joker all of a sudden..

I love this Black Mask. Both the mask/suit design and the voice actor are awesome. It's a shame he was dispatched so early (before the game even starts...) and replaced with the Joker. I'd really like to see more of this Black Mask, having him avoid jail and consolidate his crumbling empire and really threaten Batman/Gotham would be aweome. But unfortunately it will be hard to make him a real threat now that he's already been marketed so much and then been made a fool of in this game...

You see the writers left out a plot hole. Later in the game the police say that black mask was murdered by penguin, but apparently Batman said this crime had happened before the events of Origins. Now at the beginning of the game the police say Black Mask is at the prison, even though they don't say we thought he was dead, which doesn't make much sense. I believe Black Mask was the main antagonist of the first half but later reduced to a minor villain.
A shame he wasn't the main villain of this game, he should've, this is why the Joker is my least favorite Batman villain, he is so overused that I can't stand him.

I was really hoping that in this side mission it would show Sionis's mask getting burned on so that he would permanently become Black Mask. I don't remember if any of the Black Mask data in the other two games say whether or not his mask was burned on, but I suppose if it didn't say so we could always get it burned on in the Arkham sequel, because after Arkham City there are still a lot of loose ends, Black Mask being one of them.

When i see Black Mask unmasked for the first time, my thought was "why is his face still normal? I thought his face got burned and and the mask is literally his face?" All year since the CGI trailer was revealed, it was said "Black Mask hires Assassins to kill Batman" every where you looked it was "Black Mask is the main baddie, he's the most powerful crime lord in Gotham, a threat to Bruce Wayne and Batman." So what happens? Joker becomes the main villain (along with Bane because he was in the last movie I guess) while Black Mask (who doesn't even get to wear the mask in the game) becomes a half ass thug to fight for a side mission when it should've been the other way around. And don't start this "oh well its Arkham Origins, you can't have that without the Joker's origin" bullshit, Black Mask was the promised main villain, Joker would be a side character, and Arkham isn't even mentioned until during the end credits. So how is it "Arkham" Origins? I don't care what Rocksteady does for their next Arkham game, if Joker is in at all, I'm done.

Arkham Origins maybe a good game, but it is still a dissapointment
Why not just have the sequel let Ra's Al Ghul take center stage, wanting revenge for what happened in Arkham City. He recruits Black Mask and 8 other people (replacing this game) to kill him. As a sweetener, he tells Sionis who Bats really is. Replacing the Electocutioner would be Red Hood, who seeks to outright surpass his one-time mentor.

Did you see the name on the container? Janus, the Roman god of beginnings and endings. His "unique" nature means that another Batman villian may be supplying Sionis with the drugs, one we have seen.
Wouldn't those shock gloves affect Sionis pacemaker since if a pacemaker is hit with electrical voltage like that it could possibly do something though I could be wrong. Also what Sionis said at the end was right to where his defense lawyer would make some argument that his client has no connection to the charges at hand, even though he likely didn't have his fortune anymore no one would be stupid enough to testify against a guy like him.

When you beat the game. Attempting to beat "Worst nightmare" challenge is impossible except for the others challenges. There are even achievements which force you to restart if you want to complete them. There's 3 games: "New game", "New game plus", and "I Am The Night". There's lots of things that take long.
Yeah, that's the reason. I really hope that WBMontreal will make more Origin games. You know, kinda like two separate Arkham franchises. The "normal" one that Rocksteady does, and the "Origins" one. I remember that there were some names that WB registered, one of them was "Batman Arkham Arises". Sounds cool and IMO it would be a good name for a sequel to Arkham Origins (but a prequel to Asylum).

When i see Black Mask unmasked for the first time, my thought was "why is his face still normal? I thought his face got burned and and the mask is literally his face?" Then i remember Arkham Origins and Arkham Asylum was roughly 9 years apart.
Still, when Jason off him his face still kinda look normal.
My favorite Batman villain is him and the Killer Croc and Scarecrow They are my top 3 favorites and the Black Mask was incredible in the Arkham games franchise,especially in Arkham Origins Sad that he wasn't the main villain of this game in quotes and we defeated him in a secondary mission as if he were anyone Without important,his final fate is sad.. Until today,I hope for a sequel to this incredible game

All year since the CGI trailer was revealed, it was said "Black Mask hires Assassins to kill Batman" every where you looked it was "Black Mask is the main baddie, he's the most powerful crime lord in Gotham, a threat to Bruce Wayne and Batman."
So what happens? Joker becomes the main villain (along with Bane because he was in the last movie I guess) while Black Mask (who doesn't even get to wear the mask in the game) becomes a half ass thug to fight for a side mission when it should've been the other way around.
And don't start this "oh well its Arkham Origins, you can't have that without the Joker's origin" bullshit, Black Mask was the promised main villain, Joker would be a side character, and Arkham isn't even mentioned until during the end credits. So how is it "Arkham" Origins?
I don't care what Rocksteady does for their next Arkham game, if Joker is in at all, I'm done.

Yeah. Black Mask had such potential, but then they threw it all away. But the next Arkham game has so much more potential with Joker being dead and all. I see Ra's, Hush, Azrael, and Scarecrow getting spotlight in the next sequel.
I like how Black Mask fights alongside his gang members. At least he actually cares about his goons, unlike Joker and Penguin. And chances are he won't kill them on a whim like Two-Face might if he gets a bad coin toss.

To me, this side mission is very similar to Bane's side mission in Arkham City.

+Liam Pritchard Exactly the Copperhead boss is just like the Ras Al Ghul boss, The combat is practicly the same, This mission is just like the bane mission, The Remote Claw is just another version of the Line Launcher, The Enigma Data Packs are basically the Riddler Trophy Collectibles, And they even have an exclusive Extra to the game that Adds a whole new Armor (Wii U The Armored Addition for Arkham City and the The Heated Armor Suit for The Cold Cold Heart DLC.) Arkham Origins maybe a good game, but it is still a dissapointment
Don't forget Deathstroke being like Ra's Al Ghul's fight(partially)

Why not just have the sequel let Ra's Al Ghul take center stage, wanting revenge for what happened in Arkham City. He recruits Black Mask and 8 other people (replacing this game) to kill him. As a sweetener, he tells Sionis who Bats really is. Replacing the Electocutioner would be Red Hood, who seeks to outright surpass his one-time mentor.
I heard that Scarecrow will be the main villain of the next game.

The shock gloves WERE taken from Arkham City. They are basically the B.A.T Combat system (Armored Edition) with the properties of the Remote Electric Charge.
I think it will better if at the end of the game when Batman goes in Blackgate to stop The Joker ,Black Mask to be there too with his men in the prison because he wants a revenge after everything that joker has done to him.And you will need to stop The Joker Bane and Black Mask.I think it is a good idea.

Did you see the name on the container? Janus, the Roman god of beginnings and endings. His "unique" nature means that another Batman villian may be supplying Sionis with the drugs, one we have seen.

Wouldn't those shock gloves affect Sionis pacemaker since if a pacemaker is hit with electrical voltage like that it could possibly do something though I could be wrong. Also what Sionis said at the end was right to where his defense lawyer would make some argument that his client has no connection to the charges at hand, even though he likely didn't have his fortune anymore no one would be stupid enough to testify against a guy like him.

When you beat the game. Attempting to beat "Worst nightmare" challenge is impossible except for the others challenges. There are even achievements which force you to restart if you want to complete them. There's 3 games: "New game", "New game plus", and "I Am The Night". There's lots of things that take long.

Yeah, that's the reason. I really hope that WBMontreal will make more Origin games. You know, kinda like two separate Arkham franchises. The "normal" one that Rocksteady does, and the "Origins" one. I remember that there were some names that WB registered, one of them was "Batman Arkham Arises". Sounds cool and IMO it would be a good name for a sequel to Arkham Origins (but a prequel to Asylum).
