I've seen many TV shows and anime that everyone hypes up. One Piece however is different. It's the only series that's made me laugh hard, cry hard, and yell at my screen for. I'm sure many of you guys will agree with me that it's more than just a show. It's taught me many lessons and it changed my life.

Although she started traveling with the Straw Hats in Orange Town, she was only in an alliance with them them; she dissolved that alliance when she took the Merry and left the Baratie. She didn't formally join the crew until after Arlong Park had fallen. Arguably, you could say that she left during Strong World, except that she expected them to understand her message, and to follow and help her. When Robin and Sanji left, they fully intended to leave the crew, even though they didn't want to. Usopp flat out mutinied, but unlike the other two, he didn't leave them to attempt to protect them out of love and loyalty to the crew, but instead as an act of devotion the ship that they lived on, but could not longer continue with.
Zoro was the first to break ranks, however. It was subtle, and he didn't formally leave the crew, but he did disobey the direct order from Luffy to follow Nami after she left the Baratie, and he instead chose to follow his own interest to fight Mihawk. Luffy accepted it in the end, but it was still a form of mutiny when it came down to it. This is notable for Zoro in particular, because he later becomes a very strong stickler for Captain's Orders, and has gone to certain lengths to ensure that Luffy takes his responsibilities as Captain seriously.
In response to another comment, Brooke didn't decline the first offer to join because he wanted to defeat his shadow. He declined because he needed to reclaim his shadow. He could not leave with them until his had his shadow because he would die if he left the safety of the foggy Florian Triangle without it. He didn't ask for help because he didn't know them, and he knew that it would be dangerous for them to remain within Moria's grasp.
The Numbered Chapters are the best indicator for when a Straw Hat officially joins the crew with no holds barred - at least, for the members who have their numbered chapters. This was the most notably apparent with "The Third and the Seventh", which represented the chapter that Usopp rejoined and Franky joined the crew, respectively. Up until that point, Usopp was very self aggrandizing. He didn't really acknowledge Luffy as his captain, but instead as an equal. He stopped referring to himself as "The Great Captain Usopp" after this point, because over the course of Water 7, he'd been humbled to the point that he could actually recognize Luffy as his captain, and not as an equal.
As of yet, Chopper and Robin are still missing their numbered chapters, and I have no idea what that means. I can only guess that Chopper is sort of in Usopp's shoes, except instead of facing a lack of humility, Chopper is faced with naivety. Robin's lack of a numbered chapter is weird though, because she gave herself fully over to the crew following the events of Enies Lobby, and finally grew comfortable with them and in her own skin by the end of the timeskip. I can only suppose that the Revolutionary Army is going to tie into her numbered chapter, at some point, but I can't see either of them actually leaving the crew by their own choice again, unless we see a Roger-style break up at the end of the series.

@@johns6014 There is some mistakes in your comments.. let's start with when u said zoro didn't obey his captains orders at Baratie.. when luffy learned that nami had taken the ship mihawk was already there and zoro had gone to fight him because he learned it when Johnny and the other guy(forgot his name) came and said it to him after mihawk cut the ship in half and arrived next usopp already acknowledged him after the arlong arc and in alabasta when he was fighting with that mole human she called luffy stupid because of dreaming to be king of the pirates and usopp said her to shut up and he said luffy will definitely be the man who becomes the pirate king but why usopp left the crew was because he was so much connected to the ship because it was a present they got it from his village and from someone whom he dear's most... and I don't think we have to bring up movies because it doesn't influence any of the story..

I've longed to see this video again for years, this is the asmv that got me into watching One Piece completely, now I am completely caught up at the end of Act II of the Wano Arc, and I actually restarted the anime again and watched up to Sky Island, only bypassing a little of the Alabasta Arc starting with the Twin Capes, as well as watching about 10 of the movies. I could not remember the name of this amv, but I think it was perfect in how you edited it and the voice at the end, brings it all to a great close. I will be saving this to a new playlist so I won't lose it again!

You won't find similar quotes in the anime, at least I didn't found them. I just wanted a personalised ending, that's all. If I had a great english accent I would have done it myself, but unfortunately I don't have, english is not my main language.

People always talk naruto this naruto that but one piece is the real legend. The people who hate it give the lame excuse that it is too long but the ones who watched it knows what happens when they are gonna watch it. This anime doesn't only have 1 emotion, it literally has every emotion. The reason it is long because they show back stories of so many characters and make scenes have more intense moments. If you talk about bad art and animation then let me say this you go try to make 1 episode with good animation in a week while keeping up with the manga and with as much filler as one piece. Think about it and then say something. If it was naruto and had this many episodes, you already know how much fillers it would have. So RESPECT THIS LEGEND!

Pre time skip was the real one piece unfortunately it’s not the same and not as good as before but I just can’t stop the journey for that reason and I will wait for the ending that I really need to know after almost 18 years since I watched my very first episode of this tale.
