You lost me at RUclips is a PaaS. RUclips seems like a SaaS to me. You can't build your own code, nor are you hosting the videos. You upload content for them to host, and you're just a user of the existing software. Even when you provide embed their code on your site, it's still their code that's hosting a video you uploaded.
Am I missing something? Serious question, because I'm still learning all of this for the first time.

I know this is old but I'm i a cybersecurity student & on this topic... I think "possibly" that maybe he was speaking about youtube being paas from the owners standpoint & not from a user. If its the user than you're correct it would be saas.

@@tasha9650 I just relistened to this. He said "RUclips is a PaaS, you can host your videos there."
I think what really happened was he made an honest mistake, possibly with the user-based mindset that Facebook, Twitter, RUclips, etc are platforms.

I think he is using RUclips as an analogy, where the "videos" the customers create are analogous to "software", which you can upload/deploy your videos/software to the platform, which will take care of the rest. I may be wrong but this is what makes the most sense to me.

I guess if you watch the next video he explains it better: ruclips.net/video/oCFTbwTjcgQ/видео.html

Lol - Sloths are very commonly found in the amazing "Cloud" forests in equatorial parts of the world, such as is common in Costa Rica and other parts of tropical Central America - all I got !
