I just picked up the B/C box, because it seems like the standard for Irish music. But watching your videos makes me seriously consider a D/G. It sounds so good.
I've never been able to work out whether the howling means he likes it or not. It sounds like quite a mournful noise, but he does often come into the room especially to join in.
@@paulyoungfolk As a harmonica player, dogs also howl a lot to my playing. I've read about the topic, and apparently it's just that some frequencies/notes trigger their howling instinct. Unless they show visible signs of stress, you should not worry about it. Lovely tunes, by the way.

With the d/g accordions it's a lot harder to learn a lot of jigs and reals because there normally played on a b/c or an b/c/c/ triple row
