Magic Dick...on the lickin' stick!!! J. Geils band toured endlessly during the early 70's and I caught them in all kinds of venues. I just remember leaving exhausted and ecstatic every time.
God, please give us another J. Geils band. The type of music👍 Lead Guitarist 👍 Magic Dick👍 The Horn Section👍 The backup singers👍 The keyboards👍 The Lead singer👍 All of this I’m praying for!!!
Who could forget Magic Dick on the harmonica and Whammer Jammer!!! This band was made for on stage live performances, and I was fortunate (spoiled) enough to see them live before over 40,000 screaming drunken/pot smoking fans! Brought back memories of my very first concert ever!!!
I still have the Magic Dick Harmonica Songbook (tutorial). God just didn't give me big lungs. The only other player I can think of on his level was John Mayall on "Room to Move".
Wrong. Pretty soon you will be nostalgic for the last step you took. There are plenty of great music acts out there. I might even say the musicians of today, the ones who really play, are technically better then alot of older bands. ( this recording sounds terrible) check out St Vincent, FKJ or snarky puppy, Arctic Monkey's, Radiohead, Ween, they might be giants, Dweezil Zappa, Dessa, or Galactic. All making music right now.
@@robertmassucci1 Of coarse the recording sounds terrible. It was 10 years ago on an old phone.. It was still great music. "technically better then alot of older bands" DUH!!! Love it or leave it.

They had a bad habit of opening for bands like Tom Petty as well as the Stones. The problem was that the crowd was wiped out before the headliner got to the stage. Well, maybe they should have swapped places....
OK, pay attention kiddies, THIS is rock and roll. There has been nothing like this in the last 10 years.
