back in the day we did not have comic books and all , atleast not the public at large , so our parents told us stories of different gods and the morals they taught . Lord Ganesh also represents perfection in imperfection after knowing him better . his body , broken tusk ,his mount (mouse ) etc . is representing imperfection but as a character , his mind , his Dharma and his nature including his inperfect body suited him perfectly . therefore not to judge him by his abnormal figure but by the content of his divine character and nature .

The mouse depicts a restless heart, it doesn't stays at one place, and ganesha sitting on it depicts wisdom that helps to control it. Many people including me who thinks lot unnecessary are told to worship ganesha.
Also, your question on these stories how they spread . It is mainly through different festivals where these stories are repeated again and again causing it to get imprinted in our minds leading to passing from one generation to other

the reason for elephant head also had a story . One day when sage dhurvasa was going to heaven(not dead tho) he encountered Devraj indra (known as the king of Gods but dosent include brahma, Vishnu & Shiva and their wifes and children) . Indra rides the white elephant Airavat , so when the sage met them and gave flowers for Indra , Airavat crushed the garland underhis feet . Seeing this he became angry & gave mutiple curses to the god , in which Airavat which was filled with ego became a normal elephant on earth . Bcoz of the curse the gods became powerless and the side effects were immense and bcoz of that mutiple instances happened and ganesh was beheaded & the elephant head that replaced his human like head was that of Airavats elephant head that he was in earth . and bcoz of that the curse that the sage gave was lifted & many other instances happened that was necessary for the strength & power of gods to be returned and one of them is Samudra Manthan , in which a poison that threatened the whole world was consumed by lord shiva which gave him the iconic blue throat.

Just like bed time stories, prayer time stories and dinner time stories also are part of our culture. Dinner time stories are the ones where elders mostly grannies, mom or aunts go on with the stories while feeding morsels of rice to the kids at home. Kids tend to eat more when pulled into the world of interesting stories too.😉 one of the perks

Actually they don't teach us any of these stories in schools, it's considered communal to teach the ancient knowledge of our own ancestors. Kind of funny how we demean ourselves without needing any outsiders. The masters has left but the slaves continue to hold to thier leashes

Actually shiva is trikal darshi that is he can see the past, present and future... Well all the possibilities of the future ( kinda like Doctor Strange) so we can see him struggling and debating whether he should leave his meditation and go back home as he knew he will have to kill his own son, for the betterment of the world. But u see if he hadn't done that we would not have had our ganeshji the way he is.💕💕

Brahman is the one true reality without any qualities or forms, which manifests as everything, including the Divine - Parabrahma.
Parabrahma can be seen in 5 different ways, i.e., to say in 5 different forms.
    1 - Hiraṇyagarbha Brahmā
The cosmic embryo(the point of Big Bang) that "creates" the universe. Primarily worshipped as Lord Sūrya(the Sun).
    2 - Mahāvishṇu
The multiverse maintainer that "preserves" the universe. Primarily worshipped as Lord Nārāyaṇa(Lord Vishṇu).
    3 - Sadāshiva
The rejuvenator that "destroys" the universe for a new creation. Primarily worshipped as Lord Shiva.
    4 - Ādi Parāshakti
The primordial energy that "veils" the truth from those not evolutionary ready to understand. Primarily worshipped as Mahādevī(the Divine Feminine - Goddess Durgā and other manifestations).
    5 - Mahāgaṇapati
The blesser that "unveils" the truth to the aspirant when they are ready. Primarily worshipped as Lord Gaṇesha.
By worshipping one form, you're already worshipping all other forms, since each form is the same Divine Entity.

Ganesh head is of an alien head with breathing oxygen on it,the artist mistaken if for an elephant head, when Shiva came back home with alien guards he cut off the head mistakenly and cut. One of his guard head and put it on Ganesha,Ganesha has an alien head with mask and wind pipes it's not a elephant

Aliens come from micro atomic level, not from the space - which is the realm of the ascended Gods.
Ganesha is just a normal human boy stuck in the Hellish realm.
